Used Car Dealership. Doesn't come up often, it's worth every penny and no it's not tradeable. One of the best handling cars in the game, shame there aren't a couple more variations of it.

I also heard this car is quite rare, so I snatched it up from UCD when I had the chance (luckily had the money at the time!)

I've been looking for it for 2 months. just saw it for the first time since I started looking yesterday and I bought it. With RKM tune its awesome.

It's a great car, 1.9m it usually costs. I've had a one make race online using it, fantastic race until I ran out of fuel on the last lap.

It would be good to see GT5 do a full set of V8 Supercars - they're horrible in Forza!

The Falcon's a great car to drive and doesn't have the insane oversteer that you'd expect.

The "extra" weight is good for the acceleration (like in the Lister Storm).

I love this car, maybe not the fastest one but nonetheless quit fast ;)
Maybe I host a CUP-Lobby during this week. Everybody in the same Cars (pp and Tires).

It's base price is 1.25 million credits, but because of mileage you'll be paying less. It has the best handling of any sedan in my opinion, awesome car. 👍

Yep I paid about 1.2 million with very few kms on mine.

I've only seen it in UCD once and picked it up when I had the chance. I try to keep at lease 5 mil CR at all times just encase something cool pops up. Just waiting for the C5R and NSX LM Racecar.

Great car I am deeply disappointed it doesn't qualify for any of the touring car races in extreme series. Hope they bring out a world touring car seasonal with DTM JTGC BTCC and let the falcon run too :p it would be my weapon of choice for sure.

Great idea for a seasonal! :)

I in the process of testing it against the DTM 00 cars, Astra Audi and CLK. not sure if the bmw 01 is the v8 DTM version so not using it for now. Still Looking for the DTM 00 CLK merc, haven't seen it for a long time in used car dealer ship. Love the ford au it drives prety good .

The trouble (from PD's point of view) is that the V8 Supercar series is for Chevy/Ford 5.0l V8 engines, they develop over 600bhp and the car package weighs over 1300kg. They're completely different animals to DTM/WTCC/JGTC and all the other Super2000/GT500 regulated cars.

V8 Supercars 600bhp/1300kg get a p/w ratio of 0.462. If you look at a DTM car they have 470bhp/1050kg giving a p/w of 0.448 - enough to give the V8 Supercar the advantage on the straights while the DTM has a clear cornering advantage.

As the Falcon's a 2001 Supercar I'm not sure of the specs for it, but the Oz/Euro series are generally incompatible... which is why we need PD to give us a full set of Oz V8s :D

My question is...why hasn't the V8 Supercar world not further been explored by PD? Is there a issue of obtaining the License or what? I would love to run the Toll Holden or my other favorite the Vodafone Holden against the Falcon's of possibly Ford Performance Racing. V8 Supercars are cool and I think they deserve a spot on GT.

Definitely. I really looked forward to them in 'the other game' and the overall numb feel of the driving made the Oz V8s really difficult to enjoy.

The Falcon in GT5 is an absolute revelation though - and I want more!

I agree with you. I would love to see the V8 Supercar championship be explored a bit more. I would also like PD to get an Aussie track in the game but I need to stop wishing.

EDIT : If you ever get it in the UCD and you have the money, then buy it. You wont regret it :sly:

I think at some point we all need to stop wishing. I think the only way the people that give games the license to use these cars will do so for PD is if they see more stuff then GT5 coming out like Downloadable content. Yet I'm still curious why more racing organizations dont allows these games to use the cars we've all fallen in love with. I just want to drive an MP4/4. Oh and I agree the Falcon is amazing hence why I'd love to drive the new one if PD gave it to us.

What has always amazed me with this car (at least in GT3 and GT5) is that it doesn't feel like it has the power that it does. That isn't to say it isn't fast. It is very fast.

But it has always been so controllable and planted in every game I've used it in.

I think Codemasters had the licence for the all V8 supercars and tracks but had a problem with the HDT (witch is Holden dealer team now known as Toll Holden) who wouldn't let them use their car livery. So in a way you can blame Holden, but i don't know why Codemasters left all the ones they did have the licence for out of Grid. I did hear they may have sold it off but not definite on that. Maybe they will put them in grid 2 and go back to the very successful Toca series type game, but don't count on it; you got a small group driving the game development who think they know better than the thousands of fans who have been asking for the race series cars and tracks. just because Grid sold well doesn't mean they got it right it could have sold double if they had have stuck to a similar format of putting race series like the DTM and V8supercars and put more into the btcc.

There isn't just a single available licence for series/cars, just a master party who controls the licensing (as with EA for Porsche).

There was (is) a decent set of V8 Supercars in Forza 3, all nicely paintable too!

Great fun in the new supercar seasonal with sports soft and no aids except abs1, good to finally have a high end race where the cars can almost keep up (had some great drag races down the straight with the zonda).

That is a great idea about keeping at least 5 million credits at all times, but so hard for me to resist spending on "lesser" cars.
