Ford's 1st internationally selling FWD car and was their answer to the VW Rabbit. It was sold in Europe from 1976-1983, and also in the U.S. for a 3 year run from 1978-1980. It's a classic and came in a number of variations, such as the Ghia and the XR2, any of which will do in the game!

Here's some pics of the XR2 version.

Hi Amac500 - it should be listed Make / Model as per thread guidance 1.e. Ford Fiesta MK1 - when people are looking alphabetically through the list of Ford's this one won't show up.

Great car by the way, but very, very easy to steal as were all Ford's sold in the UK at that time. I had a friend who commuted to London and parked his XR2 in the railway car park - on average it used to get stolen about once a month. The last straw was when, having only just got it back from the Police for the umpteenth time he found it a few streets away chocked up on bricks - the pepper pot wheels were often stolen so that people could give their Fiesta the XR2 look.

Yeah I didn't put as much when I threw this one up, just cus I own one and I'm use to hashtagging #MK1FordFiesta on instagram, lol. I've word about it getting stolen myself, especially mine cus it just looks stealable. Then I realized its a stick shift and I figure that rules out about 3 out of 4 thieves where I live!

Mine is a U.S. spec (1980) and I can honestly say I've never seen another MK1 Fiesta on the street that wasn't mine. It's the base model, but the previous owner got it with 20k miles on it he totally redid it. I could go on and on, but everything was new enough he rolled back the mileage counter and put 40k miles on before it sat in a garage for 20 years and that's where I came in and have been restoring it. In fact, I would like to personally invite PD to my house to scan my car. :D

But note that it is an thread for road version, so I'll create an thread for rally version later.

It would be awesome to see this car in GT along with Granada 2.8i, Ford Escort XR3 and Ford Capri 2.8i.

To end this post, here's a few videos about this little monster:

In total, I would like to see this car in GT, but in premium form like in Forza Horizon 2.
