Ford GT '05 Tune for Super Car Festival

I need a fine tune of a great tune from Praiano63 for my Ford GT '05. I'm using the GT no stripes tune and easily getting to 3rd but where do I pick up the extra speed to catch the last two guys?

I got myself from 10th to 4th tweaking things myself but I was still sliding all over the place, I found Praiano's tune and man!, talk about tightening things up and great handling! I can't post my set up from my phone (and the wife and daughters have the oscars red carpet thing on) but I'm using almost the exact set up on his GT page.
I will admit that I do have the SRF and the other aids on as I'm just using a controller and the game doesn't recognize whether or not the X button is half pushed or not. You're either floored or your not accelerating at all. I'll turn the aids off when I get a wheel and pedals that I can control better. In the mean time I'll be tuning every car I have with Praiano's set ups!

It does actually recognize when buttons are pushed partially but the control takes a load of practice. I would suggest ditching the aids as it will make you better in time. If x and square don't cut it try remapping to L2 and R2. Takes getting used to but those are much easier than trying to train your thumb on what used to be on/off buttons. :)

I'll work on that! I use the L2 and R2 for shifting, I find using manual helps me to corner better than waiting for the automatic transmission to get in the right gear.

Re-map your right hand mushroom for shifting, or use X and circle. You'll find better throttle and brake control using L2 and R2.

Traction control will be slowing you down too, get that turned off as soon as you can. Run ABS as low as you can too, more often than not, tuners will post builds with ABS set to 1.

Beyond that, there's not much we can say. Let us know what you think the problem is, post the setup you're using, when you can (if it's different to the Praiano one you started out with)...

That'll be like learning to walk again but it does make sense. I'll give this a try with all aids off later this evening and post the results afterwards.

The tune is completely Praiano's, I might've lowered the top speed a bit just to get some more speed in the turns but other than that it's all the same (barring the soon to be removed aids of course).
 
Yeah, just like learning to walk again.:ouch: Sad thing is, when I got the game I thought those 'aids' were actual onboard computer things in race cars. My dad who knows more about vehicle mechanics had mentioned the computers onboard F1 cars so I thought nothing of it.

Just like starting all over again.

But I gotta do it.

Don't worry , it's just a question of time, just feel like somebody who learn to play the game again. Believe me, you'll have a lot of fun doing this and you'll never get bored . Just because you'll have to learn for ever. This thing never end and that's the good part of the game.
Don't give up and forget the aids forever .:)👍

This. :) It will change your perspective and give you a whole new enjoyment of the game. Stick with it and you will soon be running laps as fast as before and then blow past them. :cheers: And what you learn will take you far with any car on any track. Even out on your own car on the road (not street racing of course, in general).

Thanks guys! I'm slowly starting to get the hang of it! By the way, speaking of being on the road in your own car, do you ever find yourself looking for or imagining where the drive line would be?:dopey:
