I was driving the Ford Mustang V8 GT (From the NCD) and I realized it doesn't have the shifting of the gears animation like the other premium cars in GT5 do. I noticed this awhile ago but I've never seen anyone talking about it.

I'm just curious as to why PD didn't add the animation?

I have been told that it was modeled after a V6 mustang and they just changed the engine. I have know idea if that true.

Because PD modelled an automatic 5-speed Mustang but then forgot to model the automatic 5-speed transmission.

The Peugeot 307 CC also lacks shifting animation.

And yes, it's because it was supposed to have an automatic transmission, but it wasn't modeled correctly.

the premium SLR McLaren is also AT but with the intro of 2.0 i think, they added the animation of paddle shifters which the car doesn't have. Same with the premium SL55 AMG, that car also is AT but no animation whatsoever

I really don't think that's true.

What kind of animation are you looking for?

Oh and the SLR does have Paddle Shifters. Why else would there be a Comfort, Sport and Manual setting on the "AMG SPEEDSHIFT R" five-speed automatic transmission? :sly:

He's talking about the shifting animation which a few cars in GT5 are lacking.

But if a car is automatic then it would only have an animation if he was putting it into Park, or Neutral or Reverse etc. unless it had paddle shifters. That was what I was trying to point out in my question.

For those who haven't driven/been in an SL55, it has shift buttons; not paddle shifters - so there's not much to animate other than a finger slightly moving for one second.

I'm talking about the Mustang. It has no animation whatsoever.

It doesn't have paddle shifters.

The modeled mustang is an auto, with no paddles or tiptronic (i.e. like the volvo c30).
It doesn't have animation because there is nothing to simulate.

That goes back to my other question. Do all other Premiums have driver animations? If so, there have to be a few other AUTO only cars that have the animations, why not the Mustang?

haha My other "question" wasn't a question.
