So just the body? Does it include the rest of the chassis?

from the link ...

As part of its Ford Reproduction business, Ford revealed today it had approved a new stamping of the steel bodies for first-generation Mustang that buyers could then build into their own 1964 1/2 through 1966 Mustang, using whatever engine, axles, interior and other parts they can find on their own.

Apparently you could get a 67-70 body already through the company making these.

Much nicer to buy a modern body shell all nicely welded and rustproofed than deal with originals found in a scrap heap made up of filler and rust!

'64/5 convertible shell but no notch or fastback. They're missing a trick or two there i think.

The issue is that fastbacks and 'verts are much more valuable and rare than standard coupes. You can buy a nice complete notch-back for less than these new shells cost. A similar fastback or vert will be about twice the cost.

Yup. For around $15K you could get a fastback monocoque chassis from some kit car manufacturer. It works well from what I've heard.

This. No more rust, no more bondo. I'd kill for a few weeks and a selection parts I want to build a '67 fastback from the ground up.

I approve of this, in fact there needs to be more of these shells from all three US car makers. This would totally take off if you did popular cars like the GTO, Fairlane, 442, Roadrunner, Cuda, Nova, Trans-Am and Corvette to name a few.
