Ford has just revealed their newest mustang, the 2015 GT350. Another beautiful car, tuned by Shelby. if only Carroll Shelby himself was here to see mustang evolve. R.I.P.

Yup, it's 2015, just came from Motor Trend, reading about this car. It's going to feature a bespoke 5.2 V8, with a flat-plane crank. Fancy stuff. With 500+ horses and 400+ lb ft of torque, this makes Ford's most powerful NA engine ever. And of side note, it's going to feature GM's MagneRide tech....hmmmm...I still want this so bad.....
 
alright, i just read about it on top gear and it IS 5.2L so i got that changed and i reckon the year also is 2015 so i got that changed. as soon as ford releases the performance figures i'll update that.
 
I believe it is a 5.2L V8.

Finally got to vote for this, the teaser videos over the last few days have been excruciating. Looks like a beauty, hopefully it makes is down under (and into GT of course).

Huh. Car and Driver says it's a 2016. Regardless, I assume it's releasing in the 2015 calendar year.

that much weight isn't much to be worried about. That's how much the Nissan GT-R weighs, and if Shelby has learned anything then maybe it'll have descent handling.

GT-R has 4WD and more computers than all of America. It really helps in the corners. We'll see through the Nurburgring time.

Where's that 'R' coming from? Isn't it just a GT350?
 
This flat plane crank thing has me excited & worried all at the same time. Ford had better do it right or they might end up with 600hp grenades. Also it won't sound like a cross plane V8. Makes me wonder about that footage of them testing two cars at the 'ring. One car sounded better than the other but they both still sounded like traditional V8's. I applaud Ford for having a crack at this. The original 289 was a high revving engine with no low down torque, this engine will suit the purpose of the car & make it a bit more special. As long as they build it right.
