Ford Motor Company introduced the De Luxe line of cars in 1938 as an upscale alternative to their Standard line and it's Lincoln offerings. The "Deluxe" name was used on some Fords as a trim level but the De Luxe Ford was a "marque within a marque" with seperate styling and pricing throughout the 1940's. The Super De Luxe Convertible Club Coupe was a luxury model within the De Luxe lineup introduced in 1946. It featured a 239Ci V8 producing 100HP with a 3 speed manual transmission. The car managed 0-60 in 21 seconds and went on to a top speed of 94 MPH. Production ended in 1948. The car was featured on Back To The Future, as Biff Tannen's car in 1955.
