Not click bait either. Just heard the news. The 6.2 and 6.8 V10 series modular engines will be phased out fairly soon with the return of a gas pushrod V8 that will displace 7.3L.

Could be for ease of maintenance, but I doubt that alone would be cause enough.

This has been stirring around in the back of Fords head for a minte...interesting to see it coming though.

I'm wondering if it isn't packaging that they are trying to work around so much as weight.

With today's tech I can't see why a 444ci engine can't give the power stroke a run for its money.

Pushrods Push Gods

Glad to see Ford making pushrod V8s again, seeing what GM has done with the LS and Chrysler with the Modern Hemis, I wonder what Ford will do.
