The second of three triple-headers to finish the season off begins in Austin, as for the first time this season, there is a mathematical chance for the Driver's title to be won. Kimi Antonelli has a 102 point lead over George Russell with 150 left (currently), and thus 125 points available after Austin. As such, a win for Antonelli with Russell finishing 9th or lower and Hamilton 5th or lower will be enough for Antonelli to be crowned champion. Of course, this all still relies on Qatar and Abu Dhabi going ahead or both being replaced - probably the only non Mr Krabs voice "Hello, I like money" reason they haven't been cancelled yet - as we don't want the title decided in some BREAKING NEWS post on socials on some random Wednesday between races. OK, now that's out the way, what can we say about COTA? It's a Tilke circuit that copied a load of good sections from other layouts and managed to lay them out in a configuration that produces good racing while being a fun one to drive. The Red Bull resurgence is real, can Verstappen make it 3 in a row, pushing the title ceremony to the next race? We shall only find out at the UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX!
