Mr. Shaffer
I've gotta say that this is a decently fast car. I mean It's no GT-One. You can't buy anything for it, but it comes equiped with Full Customize tranny, and Racing Tires medium and some other low price things.( no nitros, racing chips, turbo, supercharger, or naturally aspired engine upgrades) The best way to set the tranny for the Formula race is auto 17. You may not agree with me either.

Its faster than the GT-One round a track (that has both left and right turns)

For all tracks?

I'm also not getting your point. Are you asking for settings?

Im not asking for settings im just saying that the car will drive better if you set the tranny under 19 but over 15 because the formula races are like little mini endurance runs so youll have to pit a few times and youre gonna want good acceleration off pit road ( setting it at 17 gives you good acceleration and top speed)

So setting it at 17 works brilliantly at all these tracks, does it?

(60 Laps) Tokyo R246
(127 Laps) Twin Ring Motegi - Super Speedway
(74 Laps) New York
(77 Laps) High Speed Ring
(62 Laps) Grand Valley Speedway
(23 Laps) Circuit de la Sarthe I
(78 Laps) Côte d'Azur
(113 Laps) Seoul Central
(76 Laps) Infineon Raceway - Sports Car Course
(85 Laps) Laguna Seca Raceway
(64 Laps) Twin Ring Motegi - Road Course
(15 Laps) Nürburgring Nordschleife
(64 Laps) El Capitan
(67 Laps) Fuji Speedway 2005
(53 Laps) Suzuka Circuit

Cote D'Azur will need shorter gearing than La Sarthe.

I find that setting 17 works ok... a short gear ratio is all very well for tracks with twisty roads but every time you change up thats .3 of a second where your car isn't accelerating... so if u can change gear less thats good and its not like the car accelerates THAT much slower low in the revs...

If you are looking for transmission settings for this car, then GTP user Duck made some good settings for the Formula Gran Turismo Car if you want to use it for the Formula GT Championship under Extreme Hall.

Look at the first post on that page. As well, take off the toe angle and adjust it as the current stock settings eats rear tyres.

Hope that helps.

Unless you've got some serious draft opportunities, you won't want to set your gear autoset much higher than 17, but for the shorter tracks, something lower would definitely be in order. Unfortunately, even with a good draft, the FGT struggles to top 360 km/h (about 235mph), so uberhigh gearing isn't exactly a good idea.

First and foremost in your suspension, though, you'll need to zero (or at least reduce) the rear toe angle. As it is, it burns up your tires VERY quickly, and in my experience doesn't really aid your turning response OR straight line stability. However, with it completely zeroed, I was able to run consistent 0:26.xxx 30-lap stints around Super Speedway in the Formula GT World Championship, opposed to the AI's lousy 12-13.

That's because the AI brakes a lot there, i think. With the same setup i don't have to pit, while Bob has to pit every 10 laps or so.

The FGT isn't about top speed, and i think it's a better idea to set the final to max, auto to ~13 or 14, and then the final about 0.5-1 lower.

CB, even A-spec with the -6 Toe angle, I was only getting about 15-18 laps out of a set of tires on Super Speedway. The AI does brake a lot, and mostly during the latter portion of turn 2 (approaching pit lane), which causes them to slide a bit. However, when I adjusted the Toe Angle to something a lot less severe, I was able to extend my A-spec stints substantially on EVERY course, not just SS.

i won it the other day an di didn't think much of it, got owned in the test course on one extreme events against class c cars. it sucked:grumpy:

But anyway this thread has been really useful so i'm gonna tune it ducks way i think and probaly use that guide to the f1 championship on how to tune it for each race ty.👍

I hate the top speed of it, and how you can only have medium racing - ah well. i don't think it's the best car in the game though.
