Formula Gran Turismo is too Gran for me.

I didn't expect this to be an easy set of challenges, but it has surpassed my expectations. With TCS on 2 and ABS on 1, I seem to be having some trouble with oversteer while braking. Does anybody have any suggestions for me? Help would be much appreciated.
 
At the expense of a little speed, try this.

Steering thingy mild
Just makes the car much more managable. I tried spinning it and found i couldnt, even nder heavy breaking.
 
This series is quite hard... I rage quitted after 10 Laps being in 4th because the one behind be made me spin around -.-

I think I'll work out a setup first and practice each race then I'll do the championchip :)
 
This can be a tough series. I recommend doing some test runs to get used to the car. If you win 4 of the first 5 races (Fuji, Indy, Monza and N'ring) then that should secure the championship and you can then go back and re-run any non-golds.

I hated Monaco, I was so slow, so I did a Gilles Villeneuve; get in front early, use the straights to open up little gaps and then just make them queue up behind for 20 laps - it gets hectic at times ! Suzuka was a surprise; run it in the wet and use slicks ;) .

it's actually a bspec setup, but it worked great for me. turn on asm and skid control. leave traction and abs to default. it worked fine for me. do not turn on the other aid that has mild and strong.

i cut threw any grass i could find also, especially on one of the lasts maps you can go 200mph+ over the grass lol. gain like 8 seconds on the cars in 1 turn.

don't forget to adjust top speeds per race. i found it easier to play with the jostick then the d-pad.
 
go to the differential and set it to 5 for the braking option.. it drastically stops the braking wobble :) also if your having problems with the car sliding through corners in 3rd gear? put it in manual and down shift to the required gear but go back a gear :) helps alot with this car.. all golds in this championship

It doesn't help that my reflexes aren't that great. Monaco throws some corners at me that I have trouble with in a car of the FGT's potential.

skip it? or try and finish as best you can..? first time i came 2nd literally right behind the opponent. just could'nt overtake! tried again and came first. what to do is just practice :) you'll get there!

Some advice if you have trouble with the formula Gran turismo, first go to brakes and set them to something like 4-1 5-2 (front-rear). Then when you drive it, dont brake like you brake with touring car, usually, with the formula, you just press slightly the brakes, downshift, then let the decelaration do most of the works and repeat. That's how I done it and I usually have 40+ sec lead after each race, except in Monaco where it was a bit harder but I just did that track in F1 2010 and it was maybe 10 times harder so yeah lol.
The trick is really to let the car decelarate and not push the brake too much.
There's some nice tunning for that car around the forum, after you should have no trouble beating that championship. Also remember it's a championship so you dont have to win all race on the first try.
I use DS3 btw but with trigger for acc/brake.
