Formula Gran Turismo - Question

Hi, I understand that you need the Formula GT to complete this particular race.

Unless I am missing it I can't see it as a prize car for either A or B Spec, so therefore presuming I have to purchase it out my own hard earned cash (currently $4m).

I also have the following races left to achieve (on A Spec)

Historic Racing
All Stars
Like the Wind
Dream Car
American Championship

This 'beast' is currently in online UCD and my question is, should I buy it now, and will it be useful in any of the above races.

I don't want to be winning by half a lap though, I like to test my limits and tune to just enough to win. Would this car be too quick for those above that it can enter?

Appreciate you may say 'don't use it then' but you know what it's like when you have a new toy :D

In All Stars, yes.

In Dream Car, yes.

In Like the Wind, yes.

In American Champ, no.

In Historic, no.

An is too quick for all of the above.
 
Well, it is required for the FGT championship race, but it will crush any and all of the ai cars in the other races. So, it follows that you will have to buy the FGT at some point. My suggestion would be to purchase it and use it to complete the 'Like The Wind' series (winning by a lap every time, regrettably). You will win the Minolta Race Car, which, although a standard, will be competitive with all the other cars in most of the other series that it is eligable for.
Otherwise, if you want a close race or don't like the Minolta, you will have to purchase a different ~4.5 million cr. car.
 
If your not level 24 then no. You can win a minolta and a Toyota 7 in the like the wind race(I think) in both A spec and B spec. Use the toyota 7 for the historic race. Buy a ZR1 RM and use that for the American Championship race and Dream car races.
 
The FGT is always in the online UCD nowadays so now need to rush earn some $$ enjoy the races and buy when needed for the FGT Championships. (which will be an eye opener for you).
 
Save your game to a USB, buy it, gift it to a secondary account, re-load your saved game with the $$, gift the FGT from the secondary account back to the main one.

Don't let anyone tell you it's cheating. A video game should not force you to REPEAT your progress, in order to progress even if you win. I don't mind if a game's long, but if I win something I move on I shouldn't have to repeat it to get to the next level.

or,,,,,,,, buy a zr1 vette and max out(including the race package), and set at trans at 236mph, and put all down force on front of car.... All for about half a million

The only car that is faster than the Formula GT is the X2010.

The FGT is the official B-spec grinding car. You will find it pays for itself quickly in B-spec.
