I was testing out a Formula GT tuned for the RACE F3500 championship (525hp 650kg) on Spa and noticed that my tires (RH) were wearing out at roughly double the rate of the tires of the other person in the lobby. He ran 10 laps and his tires had the same wear as mine after 4 laps, 9 in the front 10 in the back.

I decided to test if the tires were glitched by doing a burnout. The rear tires wore out completely, all the way to 0, within 30 sec or so. I then did the same thing in a fully tuned Supra RZ and Cebera Speed 12 with the same tires and they wore out much slower. The rigidity was degrading since I'd driven the car a lot, so I fixed that but the tires still wear out almost as fast.

Is this a glitch? If so, how do I fix it?

Did you have the "Tire Wear" on Very Fast?

If everyone else was having no trouble, then it wouldn't make a difference.

That sounds a little odd. Did you go out again in the FGT? Maybe reset the lobby and then see what happens?

You don't say where your tires ended up in terms of tire wear, only that after 4 laps you were 9/10, your opponent made it to the end at 9/10 and your wear rate was double. Taken literally, that means you finished at 8/10. If that's the case it could come down to any or all of these factors:

1. Tune. If your car understeers you get more front tire wear.
2. Brake balance. Heavier front BB relative to your opponent, means more tire wear in front.
3. Driving style. Some wheel and DS3 users are very smooth and accurate with inputs, others just crank the device over and induce understeer and therefore tire wear on the front tires.

I tried making another lobby and it was the same. After 6 laps or so my tires were at roughly 8 in the front 7/6 in the back. Sorry for not providing more information about that. I do not think this is a matter of driving style because I tested it driving as slow and smooth as I could and my tires still wore out faster than they should have.

I did a burnout all the way down from the chicane (last corner) to T1 (at spa) in the Speed 12 and the rear tires were still at 9. That car has more than twice the power than the FGT, which destroyed its tires completely in half a minute of doing a burnout. That is why I believe this to be a glitch.

I'm having trouble wearing tires...it's the other way around... Fuel and tire wear set to real. Haven't kept an eye on the gas yet. Testing stints tonight. Have not done any online racing since GTA opened...so, just seeing this now.

The FGT is tricky with tire wear. I to do a series in it, and it is extremely easy to wear out your tires. But with a bit of throttle control, it is possible to make the tires last much longer(with same lap times).

Not a glitch. I'm in a series with in on SH tyres and if you spin or skid it burns out tyres like no tomorrow... it does have what 15,000rpm plus though, bear in mind guys...

LSD tuning could help.

Anyway here is the series Furi is talking if you want to see the specs: FRL INDYCAR
