I am currently working on getting the Formula Gran Turismo, but theres just one thing that worries me.

After finding out about the F10 and F2007 restrictions I decided not to buy them atleast not yet. But are there any similar restrictions, i mean its not an F1 car but still open cockpit.

So just wondering if theres any restrictions for online play, such as possible tracks(excluding dirt and snow etc) but just for normal race tracks like the nordschleife and le mans. Or if theres a restriction that everyone in the lobby has to only use it etc etc.

Thanks in advance for replies.

Alex

You can use either F1, as long as it is OK with the host of a lobby & the F1 is not selected to be as a restriction in the Restrictions Menu.

FGT has nothing like the restrictions of the F10 or F2007.

It will enter into anything it fits into (weight, tyre, engine layout, etc). Very versatile car.
F10 and F2007 are banned from all races except F10/F2007 races and practice.

Ah thanks for the replies just wanted to make sure i could use it without that many imposing restrictions.

At 4,042,333 credits now so only another 950,000ish before i buy it

The term is "open-wheel", not "open cockpit". There are classes of cars with open cockpits that aren't open-wheeled cars and are nothing like the Formula One cars, Indy, Formula GT, or other formula cars.

To illustrate my point, the Audi R15 is an open-cockpit car, but not an open-wheel car like F1 cars or FGT:

This Mustang convertible is also open-cockpit:

"Open-cockpit" is a fairly useless classification for vehicles. As I previously mentioned, the term you're looking for is "open-wheel", though another term that is sometimes used is "single-seater".

More accurately, F10 and F2007 are banned from A-Spec and B-Spec entirely; so much so that you cannot even select A or B-Spec if you're presently seated in the F10 or F2007. If you're in one of these cars, you can't even browse the A or B events and then change to another car, but rather must change vehicles before choosing A or B.
