Hi I need some Help I have recently started with the:
Formula Grand Turismo World Championship A-spec event. but it does,t go as I want.

This is is what i have done so far

§ I have learned to drive the other cars in the game normal racecars and road cars.

§ I have had a ot of practice by completing most of the other races from beginner to Extreme.

§ I have the car I need to take part.

§ I have all the parts that it was posible to buy for it.

§ I took about a total of 3h on the nurnburgring to learn to control the car.

§ I then took it to the events first track to fine tune it and compare it with
the other cars.

This is the numbers for the car now:

MAX power 936 BHP Weight 580kg PP 897

Ride hight -7 -7

spring rate 14,4 14,5

Dampers
extension 6 6
Compression 6 6
Anti roll bars 5 5

Camber angle 2.0 1.1
Toe angle 0.00 0.20

Initial torque 15
acc sensetivity 40
breaking sensetivity 30

Downforce 70 90

Break Balance 10 10

Ballast amount 30kg
Ballast Position 50

Power Level 100%

Gear box all standard but set to top speed 370

soft racing front and rear

Now then with this tune the car is better than it was at the start but it is still very bad at the narrow corners unless I go very slow but if I do that i get overtaken before the corner by atleast 1 car.

Is it me that need more practice or do I have the completly wrong tune settings?

PS: I dont use and help like ABS TC or any others

Tuning section. Also, a search should yield some good results.!

Is there a tuning section I did,t know that :) can someone of the admins move this thread there for me?

Downforce 70 90

Try to put it at maximum.

Break Balance 10 10

You are free from abs, so try 0 and 0 at brakes, you will notice the difference.

Ballast amount 30kg
Ballast Position 50

Try to remove the ballast.

Camber angle 2.0 1.1
Toe angle 0.00 0.20

Try more camber and equal the front and back. For example, 2.5 and 2.5.

I use the ballast to get less wheel spin by puting more Weight on the rear Wheels and it did help a little

but I will try the other stuff first and see what happens. THX

I have lowerd the Ballast to 10
and Break Balance to 3 3
I also have Camber angle 2.8 2.8 overall it did help a lot

Downforce are at Maximum already

But I still have some tuning left to do I think

Patience is key, especially on the gas. The car can go through the corners very fast but is very touchy at low speed when it loses most of its downforce. Slow down enough but use a very light touch on gas and brake when going slow and it's amazing how much faster than the AI you can go - even in the slow corners.

Keeping it in a higher gear is very helpful in the FGT as well due to its power, just be ready for the power to kick in when as the revs climb. You can forget about first gear, it's useless.

There may be a faster way to drive the car once you master it, but if you drive conservatively the FGT can still be very fast and you'll easily gain 2-3 seconds per lap on the AI. The races are long so just keep the car going straight and you should be fine.

Tuning can help this car dramatically but it will always be a handful.

Stiffen rear compression to allow you to get the power down. Also more rear toe maybe +0.25.
If thats not enough then soften the front bump a click or two. -0.10 Front toe will help with turn in.
Less rear downforce will help with high speed turns.

I think all of the tracks except 2 have huge shortcuts

If youre ok with that, taking shortcuts, fgt championship is easy as pie

Tuneing helped a lot it makes it posible to use the gas as you are leaving the corner without wheel spinn
and as for Patience it day long Patience that is needed cince you need to learn every micro part of each map from what I have found and one mistake and you are out of the race.

I have also made the shifting in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear longer to get a faster start and made the rest of the gear shifts shorter.

the car also have quite hard suspension now wich helped a lot to get better grip from it

And the LSD is almost set to MAX

I try to dont use them the car is tuned for the race now after hours of tuning
but to actully win it whithout wasteing days to get 20 perfect laps.
I have to put on Help options wich make the event very boring cince its to easy or to hard.

But thx for the tuneing advice it was good help.

I took the harder approach. No tuning! And just racing hard. I am faster with SFR,ASM and ABS 1 generally although ASM is sometimes a pain. I use a T500 if that matters!

T500 as I understand you can only use the Grand Turismo Forumla Car in that event

Im faster with Help options to but they also remove a big fun factor from game when they are on.
I like a healthy amount of wheel spinn and lesser tracktion in the corners :) I just want it to be fair and when the AI use Help options and I dont with that car the event becomes to hard.

In my personal viewpoint, this is the most challenging event in A-Spec.
Only can recomend you lots of practice and patience. No shorcuts here.

I won this series pretty easy with all golds in A-Spec and B-Spec. This guide helped me a lot. What I learned is that you need to set up the car differently (minor changes) for each event. Take a look

Formula GT Championship Guide

Good luck!

Sports Softs are plenty for this series, you can still spin a couple times and win except perhaps at Monaco where it's very hard to pass and you have no runoff to absorb mistakes. But if it's giving you trouble, better tires will always help.

The worst thing is the AI parking when you get close to them and smashing into your front wing, making you crash. If there's no room to get underneath them, just stay wide in the corners when you're close and they'll pass themselves when they do that.

A setings sheet that was locking for from the begining thx
