I've been coming to this forum since I have GT5 and I have to say 👍.

But now I really need some help here...
I've done almost every race except the Formula GT and the DreamCar championship. Somehow I can't master that Formula GT.
I spin out of every corner even when I'm gently with the throttle.
I'm using this topic as guideline for the tuning settings:

But still I manage to get 12/12 out of the first 2 races I've done (and quitted).
I just bought the car and don't have enough money for engine rebuild or restore body rigidity. Is this the key for success? Or does anyone else has advice I can use?

Thanks a lot in advance

Which is a setup by ReikoNagase is what I used to win. You don't need body rigidity or engine rebuild in my opinion, but you do have to drive very, very well. If you get frustrated put skid recovery force on.

I came first in every race but Cote'd'azur, where I made a small mistake on lap 17 and was rammed by 8 cars while trying to recover. I quit the race right there.

It really is an awful, difficult event with annoying AI and an annoying car, and I'm extremely glad I never have to do it again.

I also did the Formula Gran Turismo championship for the first time yesterday after buying the car from the new Online Collector's Dealership.

Initially I found it to be very enjoyable, but ti soon got repetitive and tiresome, especially the amount of times I would be 1st, have a spin and end up last, fight back to first then end up last again in one corner.

Be sure to do an oil change as soon as you buy the car, there's a significant amount of HP right there. Use Racing Softs because that's what the opposition are on. Don't always follow the suggested gear indicator, especially at Monaco. I found the hairpins more manageable in 3rd/2nd instead of 2nd/1st, plus you get less wheelspin out of the corners.

Setup wise all I did was set maximum aero front and rear, lowered the front and rear ride height all the way and set brake balance to 6/6.

Keep a close eye on the tyre temperature indicators, if you see you've just done a particularly taxing corner and the rears are red hot, don't get straight on the throttle. Ease your way back on or coast for a moment, otherwise you'll be facing the wrong way quickly. And give the higher kerbs and grass a wide berth, it sucks the FGT in like no other car.

At Suzuka you can make up the most time in sector 1. For the esses no need to brake much at all, just gently come off the throttle and turn in, the car will hold and you can power out purposefully. First corner shift down to 6th and coast in, for the exit shift to 4th and be very patient with when you get back on the gas, late apex is your friend here, just coast towards a late apex and you can get on full power for the exits. Remember to keep an eye on the rears, if they are glowing, easy on the gas.

I only had to repeat Monaco after the championship was done 👍

Good luck with it

I bought the Formula GT today. and i am starting to master the car.

only at slow U-turns i have to be very slow. the car ussual oversteers at his own. even when i don't hit the throttle.

I didn't find it too bad, had to increase the ABS a lot more than I normally do.
Took me two attempts and I skipped Cote d'Azur and Suzuka the second time and won the other 4 races.

Avoid the engine re-build and chassis restoration, waste of time. Atleast until somewhere over 10,000 miles.

After oil change the re-build gave an extra 10 bhp!

If you can handle the car with confidence, the tighter turns can be made with some simultaneous braking and turning to get the car into a mini slide and successfully turned in. This is especially important at the Casino Hairpin at Monaco, which is far easier in 2nd gear than 1st gear.

If you find the car oversteering without throttle it could be because you have just come off the throttle and turned in too aggressively, meaning the back end has a lot of momentum with the weight shifting forwards, and the car's momentum carries you into a spin or oversteer moment. That should be balanced with a little throttle on turn in, so brake hard come off the brakes and turn in, use a tiny amount of throttle to keep the car balanced and the weight shift in check.

You may also be applying too much steering when the rear tyres are overloaded or glowing hot?

Also, may I ask that you use capital letters at the start of your sentences and when referring to yourself use "I" instead of "i". Many thanks in advance, further posting guidelines can be found in the AUP here: https://www.gtplanet.net/aup/
