I miss this from GT4, and I think it would be an excellent addition to GT6, if not for a seasonal event series.

For the event, it's limited to only the Formula GT. (Lotus 97T doesn't count) Each race differs as far as laps go, and you're always running the risk of tire wear and running out of gas, so pit stops are almost guaranteed. Add to it that if you have a collision with another car or cut corners, you'll wind up with a penalty. Each race also begins with a standing start with false checks.

Grid Count: 16 Racers

Prizes:
1st Place: 250,000 CR. (and a special paint chip for the Formula GT, depending on the race)
2nd Place: 150,000 CR.
3rd Place: 75,000 CR.
(And so forth down the line)

Overall 1st Place Championship Win: 750,000 CR. (and a free Formula GT with a special livery)

Number of Races: 10 Race Series (with individual races after each race is completed)

Race 1: Red Bull Ring/A1 Ring - 71 laps
Race 2: Cote d' Azur/Monaco - 78 laps
Race 3: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca - 85 laps
Race 4: Indianapolis Motor Speedway - 73 laps
Race 5: Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit - 75 laps
Race 6: Autodromo Nazionale Monza - 53 laps
Race 7: Mount Panaroma/Bathurst - 40 laps
Race 8: Spa-Francorchamps - 44 laps
Race 9: Suzuka Circuit - 53 laps
Race 10: Nurburgring Grand Prix Circuit - 60 laps

I was really disappointed to see no Formula GT Championship in GT6, so I think this would be an excellent seasonal event, if not an additional event for career mode! Who agrees?

I'd like to see a FGT career event, not a seasonal event that will be gone after a couple of weeks.
Race length should be defined by distance not number of laps. 20 laps at Spa is considerably longer than 20 laps at Red Bull Ring. Set minimum race distance to 100km, adjust number of laps for each track accordingly and we're good to go.

Most important of all PD should set it up so that it's close to a real life race, standing starts, option to enable damage, corner cutting penalties, and fuel/tire wear.

Changed it up big time, have a look! =)

Personally, I'd prefer the races to be a lot shorter, perhaps between 8 and 16 laps depending on the length of the track.
I'd also add Silverstone and Fuji

I would personally add an Ultimate series.
