Has nayone else had the experience of the F094 having "magic tires" in this race? I was pitting when he pitted and he just kept going and going. My tires were red and the car was basically undrivable but the F094 seemed unphased. In all the previous races I used the same strategy and it pitted right when I would've.

What gets me is that I had to really lay off to stay near the F094 so my tire wear should've been less than his since he was all over the place, going off the track, sliding around.

And then at the end I couldn't catch up for the life of me. But in all the other races, and earlier in Laguna, it was no problem. It seems like the AI cheated.
 
Towards the end of the series the AI really seem to improve their tire wear management.

When you get to Cote d'Azur, you'll really see a drastic change. The F04 picks up a 10 lap schedule, where as you are forced to a 7 or 8 lap schedule. Amazing.

Yeah, the Cote d'Azur race in the Formula series is almost scary due to the AI's pitting routine, but you should be able to drive faster through the course, because the AI usually overuses their brakes. Also, I think the key to winning is to get out in front early on, so that you don't get affected by their punting.
 
Maybe the AI somehow get that late-series boost where their tires magically change grades somehow.............................
 
I've seen this too. There's nothing you can do about it, either, except pit on your routine schedule, and hope the other cars don't get a big lead because you have to pit earlier than them. It is unfair, but it is still possible to win, even though they can go longer on tires.
