Formula GT Pro Series! Lag Free, 16 Slots!

Hello and welcome to The Formula GT Pro Series! This series is featured on GT5racecentral.com but I want to look for more contenders here at GTPlanet. These little cars are fun to drive, but can have too much power for their own good. This is why I decided to set the engine output to 800 brake-horsepower. In this series we race on real tracks only, which may change if the season gains enough popularity for another season. Here is the schedule for our First Season. This race series is run on Fiber Optic internet with No Lag, but we still have the variable of Sony's servers. I have had no issues with my rooms lagging in the past though. :dopey:

8/27/11 Race 1: Monza 25 Laps
9/3/11 Race 2: Suzuka 25 Laps
9/10/11 Race 3: Cote d'Azur 30 Laps
9/17/11 Race 4: Daytona Road Course 25 Laps
9/24/11 Race 5: Indy Road Course 30 Laps
10/1/11 Race 6: Fuji Speedway F 35 Laps

RULES & REGULATIONS

1. All assisted allowed, except ASM, Active Steering, and the Driving Line.
2. If you sign up for a slot, finish the races, even last place gets points.
3. Wreckless driving is strictly prohibited. You will be deducted of points.
4. Respect the driver in front of you. It isn't their job to let you overtake.
5. Lap traffic should try to stay out of the way of the leaders, if possible.
6. Speak English.
7. Stay on the track, intentionally cutting will get you stripped of points.
8. Lastly, HAVE FUN!

Points System

Lead a lap: 1 Point You may earn this only once per race, like NASCAR.
Lead the most Laps: 2 Points

1st: 16 Points
2nd: 15 Points
3rd: 14 Points
4th: 13 Points
5th: 12 Points
6th: 11 Points
7th: 10 Points
8th: 9 Points
9th: 8 Points
10th:7 Points
11th:6 Points
12th:5 Points
13th:4 Points
14th:3 Points
15th:2 Points
16th:1 Point

Not allowed to bump your threads, watch out for that. Also, how can you guarantee lag free racing? Don't think that's possible.
 
I know bumping is considered 'bad' for some reason. But if I spend this much time laying out a series and it doesn't get seen I think it could be bumped to the top. But I don't make the rules. :sick: **Also if you read the thread you would see I didn't guarantee it.**

If you didn't guarantee it then lag is as likely as at any other series isn't it? Why bother advertising the fact that it is lag free anyway unless it is guaranteed?
 
People need to chill back a bit. This is a game. I understand it may not be up to your standards of perfectly lag free when it says it is. If you read in the thread as said Before ^^^ than you would see that I do not guarantee it, but I do say that my rooms and lounges do not have any lag. So far. Have a nice day.

To VRracing fan and R16Turbo. I want to remind R16Turbo and inform VRracing about the statement made by EDK. "I'll be more blunt this time, Any non-participant who moans about the conent will receive infractions for their troubles" If you would like evidence please look at the 'Ultimate Super GT500 GT300 Championship' thread, look on either page one or page 2.

To OP. This Series looks good..There arent many FGT series around..Would join if it werent for the other multiple Series im in. 👍

Not moaning, just informing. Huge difference. And in case YOU don't know, "bumping" your threads is against the rules. Was just pointing that out in a friendly manner.

I didn't say you were guaranteing it if you read what I said. I don't have a problem with your series at all, just confused at the thread title that's all.

To stop the argument, which I didn't even bother to read I have some info. We are up to 4 racers for the series. But we still have 12 slots to fill. That being said if you have friends that you know have FGT's and you want to race with them send them a message here on GTP or PSN. Tell them to post on this thread or contact GhilliePepper on PSN. ;)
 
What times are the races? Im working saturdays and im for uk so 5 hours ahead of you... Sounds like a good championship though
 
iv just joined a series similar but if i was to make a FRIENDLY suggestion (not trying to make an argument here) i would increase the laps :) For example 30 laps on cote D'azure will only take one pit stop. Races like this are much more interesting with 2. Just an idea though but still a good thread as it took me ages to find one available and this will really help people wanting to join something similar :)

Good luck with your series CarCzar, these cars are great but watch out for dirty racers, some fools cant handle these beasts.
 
iHealy sorry it has been a few hours. But the races are 3:00 PM my time which is -6 GMT. Or Central US. They usually will last 1-2 hours with a 15 practice/qual starting at 3:00. And thank you for the suggestions on laps, depending on member's opinions I may change lap amounts. Variation in race length is good too.

I know ive dealt with some dirty racers doing simple laps at indy

Indy 250 wouldnt be bad enduro for this series actually
