Just acquired the fgt. Awesome car to drive, however am struggling a bit with the launch from standing. In the formula gt events i have no hope of matching the starts the AI drivers get. I've tried both flooring it and trying to modulate throttle to minimise wheel spin but still cant match the AI. Anyone got any advice to how I should rev my engine n gear up to maximise my start off? Not using any assists.
 
avoid any wheelspin, and short shift to third rather quickly, I still loose one or two places at the start, but at least that's a managable lost.
 
Use TCS for the start and then switch it off.

The car looks to be modelled around the late nineties GP formula... so launch control is legal :D
 
I used to launch in the second gear and then shift quite fast to the third. I always lost 2-3 places, but still better than starting in the first gear(for me). I managed to do one start on the first gear shifting very quickly to 2nd and 3rd gear and i didnt lose any position. But just made it 1 time and didnt make it again.
