Forum purpose? also re: my last thread.

I just wanted to vent a little and ask: why does every thread that isn't a video post get insta-locked in this forum?

To reply to my last locked thread: I was asking about brake locking being impossible, and therefore making brake drifting impossible in GT4. So yes, it was 100% relevant to drifting. Why would I want to lock up my brakes if I was grip racing?
@swift: I understand you want to keep the forum clean, but please read the post before locking. So, I'm asking again: Is it possible to break the rear wheels' traction by braking in GT4?

Anyway, I want to make a suggestion: Why not make a 'showcase' sub-forum for video/photo threads like the comp thread under the photo/video section? I, and most likely many others, come to this forum looking for advice and others' experiences in choosing tracks, cars, settings etc. After all, this is the only place I know of that's dedicated to drifting in GT4. At the moment, everything I want in this forum is hidden deep within the recesses of 2-3 5+ page, spam-ridden posts from ages ago thus making a simple Q and A almost impossible. I thought forums were created for this purpose? To me, the mentioned vid threads are what 'clutters' this forum.

I'm probably stepping on toes and begging for a ban with this post, but please consider my input.

Now, I'm not the best drifter on this forum by far. But this is something for a PM. you don't drift by locking up the brakes. You drift by shifting weight. I did read the post, and I found it not to be appropriate to this forum. If you don't like it, that's fine. But that doesn't negate the fact that the thread had no point in the GT4 Drift forum.

If you would take the time to do a quick search or just look at a few other pages. You'd see a lot of discussions and other things not related to videos. But since videos are very popular, they tend to stay on the front page.

Edit: Not to mention the HUGE number of threads on this very subject of understeering in GT4.
