With E3 less than a month away (crazy how fast it comes up), I thought a FH3 prediction thread would be a fun little game to play with you guys at GTP and see how close we get to predicting some of the info for the actual reveal of the game.

Now what are we predicting? Well obviously we don't want to go too in-depth otherwise we'd all be writing novels by then, so I've broken it down into a few different categories.

Car Count - Number of cars in at launch
Location - Where the game is set
Release Date - When the game releases
Map Size - How big the map is relative to FH2, or another open world game
Major New Features - What are the other key new features for the game? E.g. Forza 6 would be Rain/Night, Mods, Leagues etc. or FH2 would be Dynamic Weather, More Open-World, Asynchronous Multiplayer. etc

Here are mine:

Car Count - 425 + on disc at launch
Location - Australia
Release Date - Sep 26th, 2016
Map Size - 2x the size of FH2
Major New Features -
Feel free to make them as crazy or as sensible as you like/add in a extra prediction! Unless the game leaks early, we'll find out on June 13th-15th who got closest in their predictions!

Car Count - 450+
Location - Finland
Release date - 14th September 2016
Map Size - 5 times of FH2
Major new features - snow, dynamic 3D puddles, 16 player multiplayer

If Finland means roads like this then count me in:
tune, the drivatars designs and the prizes for winning the race. (You can make the prizes a specific car or a credits prize, and make them limited to a certain quantity to make sure you have enough credits to pay out)

And snow seems very plausible, would make use of those crazy raid trucks they added in FH2.

Finland would capture my attention more than Australia would. I also would do cart wheels if they add bikes. Given how well they were received in Drive Club, it doesn't seem out of the ordinary for Playground to consider them. If they got them working with the livery editor then I've got paint jobs for days that I'd recreate on the bikes included.

Whilst I consider myself more of a Car guy than Bike guy anyday, I actually wouldn't mind a few bikes in Forza.

The only thing I would say is that it shouldn't be a forced feature, somewhat like if a Car Pack doesn't interest you you don't purchase it, it's the same here.

I would welcome them and would add more variety to my drive all vehicles on all tracks ;D

If this is the case, this could be the first time I consider pre-ordering a game.

I did this on r/forza as well and Japan and Aussie seem very popular locations for the next Horizon!

I wonder if we'll get them or not. Considering they would have started work on FH3 before even FH2 was out, it would have been hard to gauge fan feedback for the next location. I guess we'll see in a month's time.

Anyways, back to the speculations/wishes. Another thing that could work is the return of the Sponsor Challenges from the first Horizon. They were a fun way to grind some money. Yes, I know the latest Forza games blatantly throw money at you, but still, it could be fun to see it back.

By which time I'll be in Spain, away from Forza for ten days. I hope it's good news!

Hope you have a lovely holiday! Any chance of being able to connect to Wi-Fi over there?

Car count: 450-500 at launch without any DLC's yet
Location: Probably in Australia (street racing in Melbourne or Bondi Beach or rally racing in the Outback) or in Japan (C1 Loop, Wangan area, Hakone and all other regions featured in the entire Tokyo Xtreme Racer series)
Weather: Same as Forza Horizon 2 but with an added bonus: puddles. Drive safely!
Visuals: Same graphics as Forza Horizon 2 but at 60FPS for the ultimate car porn through Forzavista and a more exciting racing experience.
Sound: The sounds are very good in Forza, but improving it more would be an added bonus.
Expectations from physics: Has to be more realistic like in the Motorsport games of Forza, and if they're going to put nitrous like in Forza Horizon 2 presents: Fast and Furious, they better portray nitrous accurately like in GT6.
Tuning/Customization: The previous Forza games (2 had the richest customization) had slightly richer customization than in 5 and 6, so why not make it more than that? Considering Forza was famous for customizing cars through its livery editor and others, customization should be more diverse, and the fact that many cars can become stupidly powerful when fully tuned (e.g. 1000+HP is possible on a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX). It's time we need to see a huge improvement and overhaul in overall car customization.
Gameplay: Forza Horizon 3 must have an arcade/free play mode, similar NFS Most Wanted and/or NFS Carbon with the ability to create your own race route and rules like in online. I doubt this will happen, but it would be awesome for such a Forza Horizon title. As I mentioned before, we must also be able to have Forzavista in Forza Horizon 3, for the ultimate car porn for any enthusiast. There should also be legit drag and drift racing, as well as rally racing and/or NFS Carbon-style touge. For people who like to play online, there should also be private lobbies.
In-game character: You should be able to choose between a male or female protagonist and you should be able to customize their appearance instead of some random, generic male player character in Forza Horizon 2 and some mysterious racing driver with a helmet (Stig reference?) like in Forza 6.
Drivatars: Kill all Drivatars completely. They are evil and don't deserve to exist in the world of Forza Horizon and even Forza Motorsport as they have wreaked so much terror on the entire Forza series starting with Forza 5. This is my biggest rant on the entire series as they are either too aggressive like wild, pissed off zoo animals, which tend to piss you off if they smash into your car or tend to drive like complete idiots that don't know what they're doing due to their mad driving. They can also cheat as well, so when you encounter these evil monkeys of an AI, you might want to use all the curse words you have ever known. And couple these Drivatars with wet weather and that's a recipe for disaster. You have been warned.
Music/Soundtrack: Probably a GTA V or PGR3-style selection of music will be nice, ranging from heavy and death metal, electronic dance music (not the annoying ones today), hip-hop and even international and classical music.

Wheel Options: Same ones from the last five installments.

That can be the same with the "body kits".

"We’ve got a wealth of new visual customizations for a huge number of cars in the game, including new off-road and rally parts, more than 30 new rim styles from manufacturers like Rotiform, Fifteen 52, and ADV.1 and, for the first time, widebody kits from industry leaders like Rocket Bunny and Liberty Walk."
