That green is actually on the original spreadsheet, and I believe it’s Verde Ithaca. However, there is another Lamborghini green that’s called Verde Mantis, which isn’t on the list. I’ll see what I can do to make Verde Mantis :)

That matte red is a custom wrap, it can probably be replicated w/ a two-tone semigloss paint. As for the two BMW Individual paints...

    BMW Individual Velvet Blue (M)
    Base: 0.67L 0.67R 0.30L
    Flake: 0.68L 0.70R 0.78L

    BMW Individual Twilight Purple (M)
    Base: 0.74R 0.76L 0.15R
    Flake: 0.80L 0.56R 0.58L

The Twilight Purple seems a bit off to me,

As usual, no promises - but I'll see what I can do.

It's not much of a method - but I've found that you can still use the tried "Photoshop colorpick" method to get the precise HSL values of a paint from photo references, even with metallic and colorshift paints, by "picking" at the mid tones. You could use masks to let Photoshop find those for you, but honestly I find it's quicker to scope out spots that aren't too lit up (or not lit up enough) with the good ole Mark I Eyeball. In the case of metallic paint, you need to find two spots, one for the base (usually darker) and one for the flake (usually lighter). Same applies for tri-coat paints, which in FH4 are best replicated through the use of metallic paints (with the two-tone option clearly geared more towards colorshift paints). And if that doesn't work, you color pick from more than one point and average the values. That usually produces rather accurate results, which can be zeroed in with little manual adjustement.

I figure it wouldn't be completely unfeasible to write an app that can do all of this automatically, but I am not nearly tech-savvy enough to even imagine how.

(And yes, I realize that this may well be what y'all were doing up until now... But I've tried this approach with Atlantis Blue first, before that I was manually eyeballing metallic paints, which was not exactly fun)

I have Adobe Photoshop on my laptop, so would it be easier to pick colors using that? So far I’ve just been using color picker websites lol But they’ve worked pretty well so far. Also, thank you for doing what you can and also for making those two BMW colors :) They’re amazing! Hmmm...Twilight Purple does look kinda off, but I’m not sure why :/ What do you think is off about it?

I’m trying to replicate more colors as we speak, including the color of the newly revealed Lamborghini Sián:

    94D8B3B7-CA97-4318-9DEF-9EE1B121802B.jpeg

    C23582B3-3940-4C68-8767-92240910D5BC.jpeg

    2037382A-9755-429D-8E77-1D57215873CF.jpeg

So far, this has been pretty tough but I almost have it :)

Also, Salève Vert as shown on the BMW M8 Concept:

    0F71F6DD-09DD-44F4-A4CC-DC287EA9CE00.jpeg

    A10BBF18-7BDB-4E79-8311-5B76BA4202CE.jpeg

    B2BEC988-D7C5-42B0-881E-F4E3CE451455.jpeg

    95B51ADF-488A-4601-936E-7ACA36601507.jpeg

These two colors are proving particularly difficult, but I think I can do it with the method you’ve provided :) Edit: So, I've been trying to do this for quite some time now, and all of my results don't look like the colors :/ Can someone else give these colors a shot?

Edit 2: So this is what I have of Salève Vert so far:

    Salève Vert (BMW M8 Concept)

    Paint Type:
    Metal Flake
    - Base: 0.60L, 0.51R, 0.31L
    - Flake: 0.38L, 0.43R, 0.29L

    Saleve Vert BMW Forza.PNG

    Saleve Vert BMW Forza 2.PNG

    Saleve Vert BMW Forza 3.PNG

However, I think something is off about this because it doesn't quite match the actual photos :/ I've tried so many combinations T_T This one seems to be the closest. Hopefully someone does a better version than me.

Edit 3: When driving it in the sun, it looks blue and you barely see the green, when it’s supposed to be green with a blue undertone :/ Also, reversing the colors makes it green with a blue undertone, but there’s still something off about the colors :(

I did create a handful of Lamborghini colours, mainly for the Aventador and Huracán. Though I did remove them back in November (not exactly sure why ), however I still have access to the previous versions of the spreadsheet. I had both Verde Ithaca and Verde Mantis, but like the rest of them, are more of a benchmark which I'll improve on. Speaking of which, I may as well provide those values here and add them back for the time being.
    Verde Ithaca
    Paint Type:
    Metal Flake
    Base and Flake
    Hue:
    0.23 L
    Saturation: 0.52 L
    Brightness: 0.81 R

    Verde Mantis
    Paint Type:
    Metal Flake
    Base and Flake
    Hue:
    0.24 L
    Saturation: 0.93 L
    Brightness: 0.80 R

That out of the way with, here are a few more requests done and added...

To me, it seems like Two-Tone Polished may be another option. The only changes I would make in general is the brightness as it comes up very dark, especially with those low values. I may be able to give it a shot and see how things work out.

You’ve done an awesome job with these colors :) Thank you very much! If you could try to figure out that Salève Vert color, that would be great :D

I’ve finally come up with the Lamborghini Sian color, and I’m pretty proud of this :) I have some other new colors to show as well, but I have to delete designs to make room for them :/ I’ll show them when I’ve done that.

Verde Gea & Oro Electrum (Lamborghini Sian)

Awesome! Thank you so much, both of you guys :)

@Mitcho2001 I had a look at Grigio Vesuvio again, and the color I came up with is pretty much exactly like the manufacturer color in game. I’ll post the screenshots when they upload. For now, here’s the color codes:

    Grigio Vesuvio (Alfa Romeo)

    Paint Type: Metal Flake
    - Base: 0.63L, 0.03R, 0.72L
    - Flake: 0.011L, 0.08R, 0.31L

    Metal Flake
    - Base: 0.38L, 0.86R, 0.71L

It’s really sad how dead this area gets :( Wouldn’t there be more traffic for this kind of thing on the official Forza forum? I check here a lot to see if anything gets posted, and it’s usually days before I see any activity.

@MadaraxUchiha It has gone rather quiet, sadly. Even though I did say from the beginning that colours requested previously (from Terronium's original spreadsheet) would be included, I almost thought there would have been some more requests coming through. And it does seem to be the same people posting requests every now and again, @Gotbeefboy564. I can agree with your statement. The thing is, I don't know if it has something to do with how many visitors come to this thread who play Horizon 4, or if it's being forgotten about. However, I'm not overly disappointed, but just a tad upset in general.

@Mitcho2001 I mean, you could always move this thread to the official Forza Horizon 4 forum where it will pretty much be guaranteed to get traffic and more posts.

This remains the only thread I follow here.

I'm not sure if this is the reason but the color database was supposed to be a community effort yet people these days would rather share their colors as locked designs... which is kinda sad.

Winter is coming too so activity will become much less due to the difficulty of painting in the winter (we're due a time of day/season selection option in each house already).

Let's try to get things moving with a request: Deep Blue Pearl from the VW Golf R32.

The R32 is not only one of the worst modeled cars in the game, the default color is also really bad. :( Deep Blue appears to be the same on both Mk4 and Mk5 models.

Is there a way to replicate default metallic colors with the vinyl method?

Thanks @MadaraxUchiha, I'm not sure if VW did two versions of the color, but it's certain they changed it over the years. The second one appears to be closest to the early version but without looking at it in the sunlight it's difficult to tell.

I need help recreating this color guys :O It's a wrap called Lapis Blue Variochrome. What really confuses me about it are two things. One, I don't know if I start with the darker color first or the lighter color? And two, is it Two-Tone Polished or Two-Tone Semigloss? I think it's Two-Tone Polished, but in some pics it looks like Two-Tone Semigloss. Lapis Blue Variochrome.jpg

I would say try a medium blue primary and a really light (almost neon) green secondary. The Infiniti is the only one that doesn't look like gloss to me, but I reckon semigloss or matte would look okay depending on what effect you're after.

    Hope that helps!

I have another color that I'm having a hard time creating :/ It's Mystic Teal which was used on the 4th gen Camaro's. It's a color-changing paint, but what I come up with always looks off :(

Heh, NFS used to feature this color in the 4th gen Camaro.

The real NFS, that is. Not... not Underground.

Mystic Teal is a metallic color. From the looks of it you're gonna need a very bright flake. It doesn't change color to my knowledge, it's just that it shines very brightly in the sun.

Mystic Teal is actually a color-changing paint :) It changes from like a blueish to purplish to greenish to teal. So to replicate it in Forza Horizon 4, it would be a two-tone polished paint job.

Okay, so it seems that more colours are coming through, which I will add to the spreadsheet. However, I'll be inactive for some time. I'm not sure, but I'll drop in every now and again to see if anything new has come through from you guys. I still can answer your questions if you have any, but won't be able to work on as many requests compared to before. So apologies for that, everyone. I hope to be back soon and put some hard work into this.
