@PlumCrazy010 Where did you get the values for those Volkswagen Chromaflair colors? I have searched high and low for them, and have been wanting to make them for a while but I haven’t been able to find any reference pictures or paint chips or anything.

If you do a Google search on "Volkswagen Chromaflair Purple" and "Volkswagen Chromaflair Green", you should get some images. Not a lot of them, and usually not ideal lighting conditions, but there seemed to be enough to take a decent stab at it. I typically tune the color by running the game in windowed mode and displaying the reference pic on the same screen, to get a satisfactory match.

I wish colors were re edited by automaker so you could go right to the color your looking for say jeep colors for example are on page 23 24 25
i just wanted to give some contructive feedback on the forza paint section so i am really thankful for what each one of you have done so far and continue to do

Will you be posting these colors here with pictures?

No. I’m not taking pictures for a while. I’ll only take pictures if I do requests for someone. It takes up too much space on my system, waiting around for perfect lighting conditions gets annoying and tedious, and I just don’t have time to waste all day taking photos of colors. My boyfriend gets on my case about it as well. So, for now, I’ll just post the name of the colors that I have added to the chart. As with all of the other colors I’ve done, they’re all accurate. It’s faster for me this way as well so I don’t have to wait around for the perfect lighting conditions just to get a good shot. I hope you understand. I have to manage my time better now, but I’m still adding colors to the chart and sharing the names of what I’ve done. The last few times I made colors and took pictures of them, it took nearly half the day to do it, which was time I could’ve spent doing more important things. So, for now, this is the way I’m going to do things.

That makes sense. I always think about how long it must take you to write your posts when you have so many images to sort through and upload. I have noticed that you haven't been as active around here as you were a few months ago. Plus, your lack of images will make pages shorter and scrolling through them faster. I'll continue to do my work the way I have since the beginning, but it sounds like this change in your workload will make things easier on you.

Yeah, this project was taking up so much of my time throughout the day, and I would put off other things, so now I’m doing things differently to where I can still add colors to the chart, but also have a lot more free time to do the important things I need to do. I have had to find balance so all things can fit cohesively. I’ll still add pictures of the colors if I do requests, though, or if I do less than 20 colors at a time. Probably if I do around 10 colors, realistically, since even 20 colors can take me maybe two hours just to take the pictures and have everything made in game. You can already imagine how long those huge amount of colors took me :(

I am starting college on the 17th. I finished community college in May, and now am going to a university. That means the workload of homework and studying will take up a greater portion of my time. I will continue to post colors here, hopefully at least two or three times per week. That may not always work out, but we'll see.

I'd have for a John Deere green Ferrari.

just a heads up but the values for Mercedes Perlmuttgrün seem off as it always ends up different from the picture shown
@JaCor653 @MadaraxUchiha Thanks for bringing this one up. I'll have a look at this today and see if there's something which doesn't add up, which may well be the case. I could have entered the wrong values, so I'll make any changes if they don't match the screenshot and fix that post.

@Kyusha I had a look at Perlmuttgrün and I could see the difference between the colour shown in the screenshot and game. Looks as though there’s more emphasis on the saturation in the screenshot, so that’s really the only thing that needs to be changed. I ended up moving that to 0.31 L, which does look better and is probably around where it should be.

@Drunkstuntman @JaCor653 I already did the color Cigarette Cream a long time ago and it’s under Mercury :) Also, I won’t be touching any of these colors so you can do them if you’d like @JaCor653 :)

I'd love to, but I won't be able to for at least a week. We had a bad storm yesterday. It knocked out two of the poles that support the power lines near my property. My entire neighborhood is without power, and there is some serious work that needs to be done to fix all of this.

Got a few more colours done today. Feeling very Italian this time...

Ouch, that sucks and would be the last thing you want to happen. I can leave those colours up to you if you're deadset on them, as I have a lot of colours to do myself. Still have my batch of Alfa Romeo, AMC, Ascari, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley and BMW colours to redo... which is going to take a lot of time to complete.

Hey I'm new here, just wondering if anyone would be able to make this colour? It's called 'Proteo Red Mica' it's a metallic maroon of sorts, it's not a factory colour though.
Cheers.

Do the number codes have a significance? Or is that how they're labeled?

Do the number codes have a significance? Or is that how they're labeled?
As @MadaraxUchiha said, those are their paint codes. Usually if there’s more than one version of the same colour, I’ll provide the code of said colour. One example is Bayside Blue (Nissan) which has been used on the BNR34 and R35. So it’s more or less for clarity in the event of doubling up on colours from the same manufacturer.

I was asking because while I was looking up Mack colors, there were some that looked the same and had the same name, but had different paint codes.

I found that same thing with the AE86 colors back in February. I did the different paint codes for the gloss colors, since I could get a sample of the color from the pamphlet images I had. There were some metallic ones like that with which I did not bother. They would have ended up looking too similar, and Google wouldn't have been able to discern them anyway, so I just skipped the multiple versions. You might run into a similar problem with your Mack colors.

Okay... let's get things back on track. Managed to get a few more wheel colours done before Winter, so I don't see why I should wait until Spring comes around.

@jwesson1 I haven't forgotten about your requests for wheels. Though it was out of my mind at the time of doing this lot, I remember you posting about more wheel colours. If all is well on my end tomorrow, I should have them up by the end of the day.

u think u will do some rims for like top secret and weissach? i think top secret had its own color for their rims. same goes for weissach 911s two colors i think u should do for the weissach porsches is the aurum gold (satin) and the white gold metallic (satin)

While wheels colours weren’t initially on my mind when I started this last year, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to add some in. At this rate, I’m mainly looking at the aftermarket wheels, but I might end up doing some colours for OEM wheels, regarding the car manufacturers.
