The massive drop of fictional brands in FM23 might just be the start of a whole new level of world-building (I think Prorata was spotted in driver suits since FM6).
FH5 explored withh brands of their own as well
i wish they used it like gran turismo does, to bring some cars that are hard to get licences but they can make fantasy versions of it, like delivery trucks, police cars or even some racing cars

If PG/T10's crazy enough, they may find a way to put Hakone Speedway and Fujimi Kaido in the FH6 map. Maybe some car-related landmarks within the Tokyo area, such as the Nissan Heritage Collection or a track similar to Motegi Mobility Resort or Fuji.
i feel that a single track is enough, i feel that even with the end of motorsport, horizon should keep focus on street, and if people want focus on circuit racing, they can do on a inproved eventslab thatt make the circuits more like circuits than what happened a lot on 5

There are a few more snippets from gamesradar:
What's undoubtedly most exciting, though, is the sense of scale Playground is promising with its take on Japan. Arceta states "it is our biggest map yet", and not only that, but it's the "most full" of any Forza Horizon map so far. And as if that wasn't enough to get my motor running, he shares one particular part of the map which feeds into those "tight city streets".
"This map that we've created for Japan, or Horizon's version of Japan, is big, but also dense. There's always something around the corner for you to discover and see. And also one area I'm really excited about that is also bigger, is our urban area, which is Tokyo city. That's the biggest city that we've done in a Horizon game yet."
You read that right, we'll be able to drive through Tokyo city in what Arceta says is the "most ambitious" city the team has created to date, adding that "it's really layered and complex". As it turns out, it's the contrasts of Japan, and that layered complexity of Tokyo that also speak to the question of why it wasn't until Forza Horizon 6 that the team felt like they could do Japan justice.
"Working with Xbox Series X, we worked with that on Horizon 5, and we've really grown to understand that technology for Horizon 6," Arceta says. "But technology and console aside, our workflows and the way we built our worlds throughout each iteration, for Forza Horizon 6 [we took] lots of learnings from past games".
"An example is Forza Horizon 5's Hot Wheel expansion," Arceta continues. "We actually developed a new way to create those orange tracks that go around the road to get the best quality and have it be authentic [to Hot Wheels]. We've actually leveraged and built off that tech to build elevated roads that weave and web around Tokyo City."
I'm assured, of course, that we won't be seeing big orange tracks around Tokyo, but elevated roads that will offer up "something fresh and new" for us when we get behind the wheel next year. From everything I've heard so far, it sounds like Playground Games is gearing up to bring us its most impressive open-world yet, which, as Arceta teases, promises to really immerse us in the beautiful scenery and culture of Japan.

i was going to make a joke about the game being 200gbs but if they manege to do a otimization like they did with FH5 expansions and eventslab, we may see a landmark in video game history and a thing that likely other ms games may have for the future as well

make dencity without fill the game with GBs is the saint graal of modern video games, now the only problem is hope they had not transfered most of it to the cloud, or else we may be facing a online-only game
Also, I've said this before and I'll say it again, GTA6 is not competition for FH6, but historically the Horizon games have been released in the Sept - Nov timeframe so a later release is a reasonable assumption.

We don't know how long it's been in development, so it's possible they will hit an early 2026 release date.
i also was suprised that they went to teaser way instead of gameplay, hopefully we can see more on developer direct
it will have a gameplay and maybe a date at worst in june showcase that is for sure

i also hope they bring back lets´go/forza montly to showcase the games, i liked what they had done for both FH5 and motorsport and was always a good thiink to look forward before the game launch

The teaser was literally part of the trailer.
I explained poorly, let me be more clear: I think this is the first time in the series, that the reveal trailer wasn't a standard trailer (with some cars driving around the environment, in-game), but a cinematic teaser trailer instead. With the way the game industry has been, with troubled development becoming a frequent problem, I assume this means they're not ready to show the game in motion, yet.

Also, I've said this before and I'll say it again, GTA6 is not competition for FH6(...)
I used to think the same, but the more I think about it, the more I understand its threat, especially for other AAA games. The thing about GTA, is that it does many, many things, racing included. Even if it's not the same type of game, at its core, its sheer feature, and game mode, variety is enough to catch many people's attention. Both GTA6 and FH6 will be expensive AAA games, which means that those on a budget, will probably only be able to buy one of the two. For those interested specifically in racing, they pick FH6. But for those interested in videogames, in general, there will be, almost certainly, more to do in GTA6 than in FH6. For that alone, people will probably pick GTA6 as their purchase simply due to having more to do for their money's worth. That's why the whole industry has an eye on Rockstar's game.

(...)historically the Horizon games have been released in the Sept - Nov timeframe so a later release is a reasonable assumption.

It is possible. And I certainly hope that is the case. But as I said in the first paragraph, the game's industry is going trough tough times and several games have been experiencing development issues. Doesn't mean FH6 is also having them, but the trend tells me that if things are not following previous patterns, and they're not willing to show their work, the possibility of issues with development can't be dismissed entirely.

Found the location of the Thumbnail. It is the city Kawaguchi at the Kawaguchi Lake in the North of Mt. Fuji

It's a breath taking area & I'm really eager to see how PG recreate the area.

i feel that they are doing that based of what happened with motorsport, they want share the news about the new game during a japanese event and to fill the lack of forza news, but only will show a gameplay when the game is bug and trouble free

motorsport showed and marketed too much that ended up badly recived by the players

Previous FH trailers weren't gameplay either, but they were like custscenes rendered in the engine of the game, using the assets you would see and play with, in the actual product. From what I can tell, all we got are pre-rendered shots. It's different to what they used to do.

the trailers were based on final gameplay and after trailers they showed gameplay in 3, 4 and 5
i think that 1 and 2 as well but i havent saw those

So, Tokyo. Depending on how big part of the city they have recreated, could it be possible we could get the return of Tokyo Route 246?

That would surely be a jab at PD for not doing street circuits.

My guess for the short teaser is like "leak insurance". They'll show more once TGS gets going but this way they can announce it will be there on their own terms since leaks happen at these shows all the time.

So it turns out that the 'hiding in plain sight' technology ambition for the Hot Wheels expansion back in FH5 was the overpasses and the orange roads we see around the area; they're going to be used to help flesh out Tokyo. Guessing they want to use this to try to emulate the C1 loop and the Wangan.

It seems our in-game persona will have to go from "superstar" to "legend" status. I would prefer a return to a zero to hero like in FH1.
Makes sense. The teaser heavily implied it's the same character from FH4 and FH5 we've been playing as. Considering the presence of Flynt merch around the garage though I wonder if they're bringing him back as an antagonistic figure. Maybe he's also in the running for Horizon Legend and you're trying to slap him down. (EDIT: Or, more likely since we already raced against him in Horizon Origins and PG's writing style is essentially to avoid as much conflict as possible unless it's internal, he's already a Horizon Legend and the Superstar is trying to be like him, so he's either the Festival Organizer, having retired from competition, or a mentor figure for your character.)

On that note though, I only just realized there was no real progression with your character in FH5. You're a Superstar at the beginning, and you're still a Superstar at the end. It's as if Horizon Mexico really was not that much more than a stopover and the story of your character from FH4 was more you being the boss of the festival, like FH3 was.

as a Tokyo Yakult Swallows fan, it would be so great see the outside of Meiji Jingu Baseball Stadium again and the new olympic stadium in a racing game

now, PG/T10 maneged do otimization enough to make big citties, whitch was a big difficult that Kaz himself admitted, but montreal has a bunch of city in the background, i wonder if its start of their own otimization project or if maybe they will try hid the city background wih trees

FH5 had a more hand-off aproach but it seems that got too simple, they tried more progression on both expansions
i assume they will go with Hot Wheels Expansion over the Rally one, going from D/C to B to A then S1/S2 to finally X

the problem is that this one locked players from racing with faster cars from start and it annoyed a few players that wanted race with faster cars from get-go, but overall consensus was that it was a nice step up in progression vs the original game

The last license plate seen in the trailer says “Legend”.
the plate is both a place-holder and reference to you
you are often refered as a "horizon legend" since the second game, specially during the end game
also there has a archiivement in FH1 called Horizon Legend for those that have 175 cars in their garrage

there a lot of roads and train tracks that go up the floor in tokyo bay area (also in osaka, but more than likely wont be in game) there even has places that has trains going up and down the earth to avoid cross street and hurt traffic, in fact as far i know nowadays here only has a single railway crossing in entire tokyo metro system

Nice! I always knew it was going to be Japan after all those leaks and, notably, the previous Forza modeled japanese cars like the S15 and AE86 Sprinter GT Apex getting a rescan. Not the biggest teaser, but also not the smallest in terms of hints and call backs to previous horizon games like Kaira (is she going to be in FH6, hint hint), as well as the wristbands (is progression coming back?)

Anyways, looking forward to seeing more about the game come next year!

Japan has a great tradition and love for cars!!!
I would like to have meetings with car enthusiasts with all these underground feelings (hill climbs and some serious street racing).
Tuners will play a major role!!!

Really bummed my graphics card is one number too low on the minimum specs to play Japanese Drift Masters, because I just want an aperitif of a Japanese map before I get the Horizon main course.

I will be very disappointed if Casiopea isn't in the soundtrack.
Great, another excuse to repost this:

Minoru Mukaiya is like the Kazunori Yamauchi of railway simulation games.

Art director Don Arceta discussed the game with Games Radar, describing its version of Japan as "full of contrast".

"This map that we've created for Japan, or Horizon's version of Japan, is big, but also dense," he said. "There's always something around the corner for you to discover and see." What's more, the map will include Tokyo too - "the biggest city that we've done in a Horizon game yet."
