Forza Trade Limits?

I recently picked up Forza 4, well, cause I could. I've beaten the career mode and amassed a good collection of cars. But I want them all!! I was considering starting up another career on my kids account. My goal is to get the expensive cars as gifts, and send them to my main account. But before I dived into that, I need to know if it's even possible. What are the gift limits? What cars can't be gifted? Thanks in advance.

Seems you can gift anything in any amount, even DLC.

It's been a while so bare with me:

- Unicorns can't be traded.
- Cars with a tune/livery/decal purchased from the Storefront (or even came with from the Auction House) can't be gifted until the car is returned to it's original form.
- Some of the random gifts received from T10 can't be gifted, only sold.

The garage limit is either 500 or north thereof.

I think it's around 500 cars. It is less than the total amount of cars (includes DLC)

I just bought the #17 Racing Porsche AG 962c straight from the show room, Then I tried gifting it to the kids. No go, says it is locked. I've done nothing to it. So, I'm confused. Maybe cause it is a DLC car?

The garage limit is less than the amount of cars in the game!?! That seems rather absurd to me.

I bought the family gold package. Does that count. I'm very new to the Xbox world, so I'm not sure.

Including DLC, isn't the total amount of cars around 670? Then only 550 cars "fit" into the garage. Just seems low. Not a fan of that.

^ Yeah you can't fit every car and every DLC car on top of that.

You also can't gift DLC to someone who doesn't have it. It'll go through, but they can't retrieve it. I think we've about covered it all.

Did you by any chance buy it with tokens (the ones you can pay Microsoft points for) because when you buy a car with them they can't be auctioned or gifted.

The family gold pack does count so it isn't a problem there. Also, welcome to Forza 4.

Yeah I found that a bit weird as well. Since you bought the family pack then that should be fine with trading, as long as both the accounts you are trying to use are gold users.

As for the car you bought, try going to the tuning menu, if its locked a pop up should come up. If not, I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Still confused on why random cars are locked. Like a bone stock Audi Q7 V12 TDi. Seems to be no rhyme or reason behind that. I understand the DLC gifts and how they work now. (Thank you for that guys.) I understand storefront items on cars being locked until returned to stock. But, I've run across several cars that shouldn't locked, but are.

I did buy the randomly locked cars with car tokens. That makes sense. 💡

That's what got me started on this question. Why am I paying real money for this? There must be a cheaper way around this.
