Simple really, each of these cars are in GT5, all share something in common. They've all held the official record of the worlds fastest production car.

So is your favourite:

Jaguar XJ220, Ferrari F40, McLaren F1 or the Bugatti Veyron?

Answers can be based on anything from how the car looks to how good it is in GT5.

The XJ220. I first saw the car in 1992 on the news about a car show.

I remember getting the game for Sega CD in 1994 or 1995. Ever since then I've been hooked on my mettalic grey XJ220's.

Man I'd forgotten all about that game! I didn't have the Mega CD add on for my Sega Megadrive but I had the game for my Commodore Amiga.

I adore all of those, but there's few cars in the world that compare to an F40. 2nd favorite is the F1. BMW Power! :D

The F40 is a bit slow compared to the others, but its also very old. Out of the 3 left, I only have the Veyron, and I really like it. Ya it turns like a tank, but it more than makes it up on the straights. Also, it has massive amounts of grip, and is just so stable at high speeds.

Well the poll has surprised me already, I really didn't expect the big cat to get any votes at all.

EDIT: I forgot to say, the McLaren F1 got my vote. It was a tough decision though between it, the F40 and the Jag. The Veyron just doesn't appeal to me much for some reason.

McLaren F1. For it's time, such an amazing mechanical achievement. It's styling is still very modern, and could stand up to today's standards. It is an icon.

Gotta go with the F40. It was the first real "super" car I remember people talking about when I was a kid. My friend had a model of it and I thought it looked soooo cool!

XJ220: Good but not enough

F 40: Nice to drive but is far of be the best

Mclaren F1: Is just a beast

Veyron: Simply the most overrated car in the history

...And the winner... The Mclaren F1

Jaguar XJ220 all the way! For several reasons:

1) Childhood favourite that came to this world in its production form the same year I did!

2) One of my fav GT2 cars - loved the look and feel of the way it drove

3) It still drives great (one of the best of all bar none) and looks much better in GT5

4) Incredibly engaging and attractive - 2 VERY good attributes for both cars and women!:sly:

5) It's a Jaguar - and it's British!👍

McLaren F1. Arguably the greatest road car ever built. It stunning looks and eye-popping performance has few peers, even to this day. The man behind the car is no slouch either, having been Technical Director for some Formula 1 team that might have won a few Constructors' and Drivers' Championships. Four. Each. Consecutively. A lot of know-how went into that 1,140 kg monster.

Could not have said it better.👍

Personally, none of these cars really do anything for me. None would get anywhere near an actual "favorites" list of mine.

But compared to each other they go in this order:

1: Jaguar. It's the only good looking car in the bunch.

2: F-40 gets second by virtue of being a Ferrari, even if an ugly Ferrari.

3: The McLaren is a statement for Function over Form, but hey, these are cars we're talking about. Form is important.

4: The Veyron is like that ugly chick in high school that still draws attention from the boys cuz she's got a huge rack. There's a lot more that makes a car great boys. Top speed isn't everything. There's important stuff such as turning. And not looking like a log with wheels.

Granted, but the theme of the thread is four cars from GT5 that are all linked by something interesting that they have in common, rather than a generic 'what's your favourite car of all time thread.

Having said that, your analogy for the Veyron is hilarious but so true.

The McLaren f1 was my first really fast car in gt5 (when I bought it I had the choice between it and the enzo. I am very very happy I chose the McLaren.) I have to say, it does take some taming at first, but once you master its ways, it will definitely reward you. It has, when fully tuned, a great power/weight ratio. I always drive it with no traction control, and I recommend that to anyone else who owns one.

great car, by far my favorite.

F40, I just love that car, although the F1 is undoubtedly better and undoubtedly a better drive.

The F40 is just hilariously spartan and in fact just outrageous compared to the F1.

The Mclaren F1 I love that car. It's history is unique. the engine bay layed with gold, the center driving position.

F40. It's a Ferrari and IMO it's the best looking Supercar thats ever been made!

I won't change my choice from the McLaren to the F40 but I will agree with you 100% on one aspect, the F40 is an absolutely stunning looking car and probably the most beautiful supercar ever made.

The F40 is the only car I have driven from that list. I have a Veyron but I havent driven it yet.

I really like the F40, back when I was younger I really admired the car better than the F50.

In the game, driving the F40 for the first time in the Nurburgring was pure joy! It sounded and handle perfectly. If I made any mistake the mistake would be on driver(me) and not the car. lol
