Now that I can participate. Stock means tuning is prohibited, right? Going to give this a go tomorrow.

All about the Kings. ;)

Welcome Player.

For the camera view I either use near chase cam or hood cam depending on what I last did on Forza as neither seems to give me a bigger advantage over the other. If I'm racing in a pack then I'll use the chase cam so I can see exactly where the others are but when it's not as close I prefer the hood cam because it's what I'm used to from other games.

I'm used to racing with my club and its easier to see whats going on around me with the chase cam close so I use that. Just a quick tap of the right stick and I can look in any direction I need to. You can see further ahead too so it kind of helps me prepare for the next turn, in a sense?.

On some cars I feel more comfortable with the in car view, idk maybe it's all in the brain but I feel like some cars are less twitchy when you're driving it with the cockpit view. Like the steering feels different from different views, but thats just me.

When I first started playing racing games I always used the chase view. Then I moved to bumper cam views and have been using that ever since. Some of the hood cams seems a little strange to me and the cockpit views serve as too much of a distraction or me to be consistant. I like driving in cockpit view to get the full experience of the car but I am by no means fastest in this view.

I think people like watching the chase and cockpit views better as the bumper cam can get very boring, especially if you are already in first.

When I first started playing GT1 I used the chase cam, all the way up to GT4's cone slaloms  It was then that I saw you need to be more accurate with there the car is, and where it's going. Been using the hood cam ever since.

But I'll admit, it's much more fun driving cockpit view, even though I turn into Captain Slow.

Curiosity is getting to me. What view do you race in? In-car? Bumper? Chase?

I've been mostly bumper view but lately I've been driving IN the car. I tried the chase view today. Each view has it's pros and cons. Your thoughts.

I run in car. Some of the enclosed R1 cars I need to go to the hood view.

The sounds of the Corvette are just awesome. I'm having better luck with the 'Vette. I seem to have more speed exiting corners with it. I've only run 10 laps with each, though. I'll be all over this during the weekend.

Movin on up to 2:20.627 in the Z06. I've improved my time using the Viper too, but not quite enough. Probably will stick with the Z06 at this point.

I run using the hood view. I tried to stick to the cockpit view, but found it a bit unrealistick since the dash takes up so much of the screen.

I have been moving backwards, because of unclean laps while trying to get an edge on my ghost. I finally put down a better one and will post it.

Time submitted. I'm taking my participation points and going home this week. Loved the showdown format.

Might try and knock out more laps before the deadline. Got a good amount done this weekend. I am hoping for my best finish yet with this.

Submitted my time. Very happy with it. know i can squeeze out another .100th or so but the lap just wasn't coming together and starting to piss me off

I usually quit when I start trading tenths between corners and even if I do it just right, I only see less than .250. The time it takes to whittle down that last .250 is about the same amount of time it took me to get where I am now

Same here, I hate knowing when I can put together a faster lap, however it just won't all come together properly. I improve on some corners that I was slower on previously, while at the same time messing up on corners where I was previously faster. So frustrating!

Submitted my time with the Z06, I do love this track.

Submitted my time. I'm happy with it but also disappointed at the same time because I ruined a perfect (for me) lap on the last corner which I barely ever make mistakes on which then ended up almost half a second off my final time. :banghead:

I'm sure you are still plenty fast Lukas :) I think we should have made an Alien division now that I think about it

I just submitted my time this was a hard one just when you think you are going to get a killer lap in you screw up one of the last corner
