Hi all,

Does anyone do fractal art? You can make really good looking patterns with some programs, and I find they work well for web design too. Have a look at http://www.vellender.com/fractals to see some of my stuff (various fractals are littered around the site too)

You should try Apophysis as well, if you like those two programs. It's very detailed as well.

thanks, i've just started using apophysis but haven't made all that much yet that I thought was worth putting up on my site. It seems a great bit of software.
 
I used to have a fractal generator - but i cant rememeber its name. It was freeware though.

I just never found the time to learn its rather complicated controls and functionality :indiff:

Also, you get 0/10 for punting your site by using fractals as a front 👎
 
Cool - they're really good. Are they done with Apophysis?
 
True, but it can take a while to get the desired effect you are looking for.
 
Yeah, the only thing I find hard about the Fractal programs, is waiting for them to render what you've set.
 
I downloaded Chaoscope but I havn't got around to using it yet. I'm sure I'll try it this week since I'm suspended.
 
My first and last render using Apophysis. From what i've learned, extremely easy to generate some random mess of nonsense, but to create something that looks like real fractal art would probably take some time.

theres look great i wonder if iy could be able to go on a car... because i think that would be crazy on a mini truck.
 
Sorry to bring this back, but I tried that Apophysis program today because I was bored, and I can't figure out how you make a new fractal thing. It gives you a whole bunch when you first open it up, now how do you make a new one?
