Hey.. I often hear people complaining about framerate issues in gt5, yet I have encountered absolutely no slowdowns whatsoever, and I am extremely sensitive to them; I couldn't even finish assassins creed brotherhood because of them. Does anyone else not have any issues? Anyone who does, could you explain how often and how bad they are, and when they usually arise? Thanks.
 
Framerate seems to be affected depending on what video mode you have. I play at 720p and I notice some framerate drops at crowded situations. At SD mode, it's barely even there.
 
I notice it every so often, usually when a lot of cars bunch up in a pack and they're all on-screen at once. It's rare, but it happens. As soon as the pack breaks up it goes away. No big deal really.

I play 1080p though..
 
after reading the article, maybe it's because I play in 1080p which has 2x AA instead of the 4x of 720p. Does anyone know if I can switch to 720 to check?
 
In your PS3, go to settings, then display settings.

Go into Video Output Settings, choose HDMI, select custom when it asks you for selecting a method, untick resolutions so 720p is only ticked, press X to save settings, finish when save is completed.

raced online with a few friends on Nurb 24hrs with weather change, at the start the frame rate dropped to about 16 fps up until we clear the stadium section.

Also it's noticeable with a fast car in cockpit view on city tracks like madrid.
 
I've gotten some pretty bad drops at Le Sarthe when weather change was active.
 
I assume frame rate drop is referring to the skip or stutter you get at times.

In some races it happens fairly often in others I haven't noticed it at all.

I run 1080p.

While somewhat annoying, it doesn't bother me that much.
 
It clearly drops at the first turn on lap 1 of Suzuka in the rain, in the SuperGT series

Lots of cars and weather effects I assume causes that

ps. I run 720p
 
I have noticed it when I did the Ferrari F1 seasonals, at the start, with most of the cars around me, it drops a lot...

Maybe it has something to do with all the cars being Premiums?

@720p btw.
 
Run a b-spec remote race with 16 Super GT cars, you will easily notice it on the first corner or two. That said its not THAT bad and is gone quickly.
