Last night I was browsing through the Prize Car list and the RX-8 struck my fancy. I want it because it's rear wheel drive and i think it would look pretty nice in a drift video. Unfortunatly I have to get all golds on the A License to get it. I have beaten the first couple tests but I'm on the 60m circular track. Everytime I try it I get about .2 seconds behind the gold requirements. I've watched the demo of it, read the little advice thingy on it, and done it so many times I'm getting sick of it! Does anyone have any advice on what I'm doing wrong? I'm stuck on that test, the next one, and the Seattle one. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll get it someday. I struggled with some golds for days. On the circular, the start is very important. and then use a pump technique with the gas and never drift out of the tightest line (stay away from the kerb).

Camaro at seattle needs a slight oversteer, then it's a lot easier.

Stay as close to the inside as possible at all times, and never drift out, but they key is throttle sensitivity, stay on the gas enough to keep a fast speed but never too fast or you will drift out, than ur done. Turn the ASM off for the Seattle test.

You can win it in the Amaure GT World cup as well.

you can!!??? oh, that just makes my day!!!!!!!!!!!! now i don't need to do the test (even though i probably will anyway just to get it done) thanks to everyone who replied. your help is really appreciated.

But isnt the version you win in the GT World cup non-tunable, but the lisence test version is?

I managed to tune mine up just fine. The only difference is the colour I think.

It's not impossible. In fact, once you start to do it, you will probably find that you can do it fairly consistently. Golds on the A license are mostly pretty easy except A7, which you really have to do a lot of times.

There's some good advice here:

Also, as others have noted, you can get it other places. The Amateur GT World Championship and the Amateur NA cup.

A good way to find how to win any car is through Kid Engineer's GT3 database here:

They are identical, bar the colours. The licence golds car comes in black or EvolV Purple Metallic. The other one doesn't.

The GT World Cup one comes only in black and EVOLV purple (UGLY!). The NA Sports Amateur race comes in the colours viewed in the Mazda dealer.

here's a helpful hint: you don't have to complete the liscense tests to get the RX-8. If i remember correctly, i think it is the N/A races in the AM league. complete the 3 races to get the RX-8.

The best way to win gold on the circular License test is to use the Manual transmission and start using 2nd gear, especially the wet track.

Drive on the rumble strip. You don't have to turn so hard, which enables you to go faster. DON'T spin the tires at the launch.

The only color RX-8 I get for all gold in the A license tests is red. The other one is gray/silver, only.

I've won two Mazda RX-8's; one for getting all golds in the A Licence tests and I won the other at a race....can't remember which one now:irked:
