As most of you know xboxlive has been having MAJOR problems since the last update over a month ago.

I guess its good news to me because I never bought the game. However I do feel bad for the people that already paid for it. They basically get nothing for all the down time. They really should have just let us have free MS points so everyone would truly get a free game of their own choice.

Xboxlive still isnt back to the way it was before the update over 4 weeks ago.
 
What's been wrong? I'm really never had a problem, and I've been online often.
 
Kinda why I don't waste my time with the arcade games anyway.

I seriously see this as another way M$ suckers people into buying crap to fund them. Not "were providing excellence to our consumers". :rolleyes:
 
The main problem has been with the dashboard or matchmaking games. Checking friends list is slow and many many more problems. Even checking your friends list from xbox.com can be really slow at times. Especially at night or during busy times. If you are on all the time you would instantly see the problem. Its still not back to the way it was a month ago before that last update. That last update killed everything.
Friday nights are the ultimate test of the live performance. I have been an xboxlive member for at least 4 years and never seen it this bad. Its a lot better now but still not the way it used to be.
 
The problems only seem to appear at night, when the Americans are genrally online, so it's unlucky that you Americans have to suffer it during the day... I only tend to go on during the day now because I don't get any issues. It used to be every day since the Christmas period - COD4 wouldn't even load my online settings, would frequently freeze for 30 seconds at a time and then a message would appear saying "you don't have an active internet connection". Going to the main dashboard, the main skin would appear but none of the options, your profile or the Marketplace would load. And if I signed out it wouldn't let me sign in again until the next morning...

Now, it only seems to happen on the weekends (presumably since people aren't at school). I'm glad we are getting a free game out of this.
