Free Red Bull X2010 in my garage?

I know this has been asked by a lot of people already and I know S. Vettel had won a championship but that's back in October 2011 so how come I got one for free this January 2012? If it's from the S. Vettel win, why did they say that that's for a limited time only. I'm not complaining though, I'm just asking because my 7 year old brother wants one but I could not gift it to him. How can he get one as well. We're using the same PS3 system, if that's a factor.
 
Are you sure it`s not actually the black X2011 that was given away by PD?
 
From memory you get one for level 35 in Bspec.
Could that be it?

Forgot about that, that`s the reason I have 2 x2010s in my garage, 1 from the F1 win & the other from Bspec.

Bspec would be the most likely answer.
 
Is that the normal prize for reaching 35 b-spec? I'm at 25 for 2 of my guys now and was going to take a break from b-spec for awhile, but not if it means I need to hurry up to get that vehicle.

You get an X2010 whenever you reach 35 B-Spec, that doesn't expire.

If you or your brother is far away from level 35 send me a message he can get one of mine. You get one when you get to level 35 and then the Vettel special event open, and when you get trophy on them you get one more. So I have 3 Vettel edition now.

Check out the B-spec seasonal event, faster way to get there if it's possible with your driver's.
 
Hi guys, thanks for your very quick responses, but no, I'm not racing on BSpec. The one I got for free is has Red Bull designs all over the body. Not that sexy carbon fiber all Black X2010.

My bro went to my account, gifted himself with one of my cars and just found out that I have one on my garage a Red Bull X2010 S. Vettel. I was at work so I didn't mind him, but when I got home, boom, there it was in my Delivery Truck.
 
And no, we're nowhere near Lvl 30, yet. :)

Non have been given away by PD except the Vettel one in October. I believe the black one your referring to is the carbo X2011 obtained By paid for DLC, thus not given away.

OP, set your sons bobs to online and race them for him, that will get him to level 35 B-spec very quick and he will receive one then.

I'm not sure what one you like if it's the carbon one or the blue Vettel one, but it's the blue Vettel one I have 💡

Mark, I got the Blue one. Actually there is one carbon X201x (x coz I'm not sure what year it is) in the Dealership under Gran Turismo, it's worth 20M though.

That's the X2011. You can't buy it unless you buy the DLC first.
 
Wait a sec. You mean after buying the DLC for real money, you won't still be able to use the X2011 which is available with the Car Pack? I still need to buy it at the Dealership for 20 mil?

dontblink: No, the DLC cars you buy will be in your garage for free (they just show up in the dealership for purchase as well). All the DLC cars have a small red tag on their thumbnail in the dealership. In Forza, when you buy car packs you still have to earn enough in game credits to buy them after that. GT5 is a lot friendlier in this regard.

Thats the X2011 prototype from the 1st batch of DLC, there is a X2010 prototype but you have to gold the Vettel challenge in special events to get it.

@ dontblink you pay for DLC and get 1 free set per account, they need unlocking and will go to your delivery lorry, Any more thereafter you but from NCD using game credits.

Why ? you stll have to buy them with credits in the NCD in GT5 as well, There not free 2nd time around.
 
You get NO cars in your garage for buying DLC in Forza. Just the opportunity to save up in game credits to buy them. GT5 puts the DLC in your garage when you download it. You don't have to use in game credits to get the cars.
Not a giant issue, just a pain if you aren't far enough along to have a lot of credits in Forza.
 
If you or the little guy can do the Expert Bspec seasonal you can level a medium Bob to 35 quickly and then the X2010 is yours. I know it's not much help but it is a way.
