Hello forum,

Made a discovery about the US region free stealth GTR giveaway.

So here's what's up,

1) I have two accounts on my PS3, one from Singapore and one from the US
2) My GT5 game disk is region US
3) I went and entered the code for the free stealth car on my US PSN account.
4) Opened up GT5 on my US account, got my free GTR.
5) About two hours later, went to go race using my Singapore account, and surprise! I also had a free GTR on that account too! :dopey:👍:dopey:👍

Yes, that is how PS3 DLC is supposed to work. The GT5 DLC goes against this trend.

No, because now everyone that could have purchased this originally can get it for free, which was never the intent. It is supposed to be for those waiting for DLC, and that weren't given the option to buy this in the first place.

Eh? They are giving the car away? You still need a US disc and US account to do it but this guy is just saying it also works on sub accounts, as DLC should.

Um, explain to me how I'm glitching? I'm from Singapore and I have a US account and a Singapore account because I spent 2010 in the states and brought my PS3 with me? I was playing my US account and got the GTR WITHOUT attempting at all to glitch it to my Singapore account. It just so happened that it also went over there.

He did have a US disc, as he clearly says in the OP. :sly:
 
No glitches, This is the way its been for these in the past, same for chrome line. You download for PSN. Download is saved add cars are added to the garage. When you open your other profile there it is a well.

Ah cool, this was my first sort of "special" car so I was just happy that's all. :)People above, CSL, Blitz, I promise I wasn't trying to glitch it or wtv lol, or brag, I just was pleasantly surprised at getting an extra GTR and wanted anyone else with a similar account setup as me to be able to have it as well :dopey:
 
I'm not sure why this wasn't implemented with the paid DLC.....

But without the region lock so everyone could have it at the same time.👍

You can't gift these cars so I don't see what was wrong with it as a delivery method.

Actually this car is in honor of the US GTAcademy Finals on Speed this week. the Stealth NSX is supposed to be what they are giving to the NA market for having to wait for the DLC but will have to wait to find out for sure. So not quite sure what all the fuss is about.. because the stealth cars in the NA market were PRE-ORDER BONUS cars not something that was paid for (the only ones who paid for them were the EU market people who bought the SE edition of the game and got all the stealth cars with the game.) AND also the EU got the CHROMELINE Jag as a free car which the NA market did not.
 
If you had an asian disc then it wouldn't had worked in any of your accounts. We knew this.
 
i have a similar situation to you OP, except i live in the US and use a UK psn to play!

guessing the DLC will elude us in till the update in december :(
