I figured out a tire glitch where you can get free tires.. i took my new drift NSX into a drift room where the guy had it set to comfort hards.. i found them slippery and whatever and was not in the mood to ruin what is quite frankly an amazingly well tuned NSX.. so i left.. but the comfort hards stayed selectable with the car even after leaving the room.. not like i will use them but it seems if you set the tire restriction to something your car doesnt have.. youll get it.. FREE
 
Won't work (likely) if the restriction is higher than your current tire. Which means no free Racing Softs, Mediums or Hards. At most you could get Sports Soft for race cars and Comfort hards for some cars... but why would you ever need them free when they cost almost nothing?

Just create a dummy account. You can send 5 sets of tires a day :D. I do that to save money.

Or if your level is high enough, you can just do the american championship indy once and earn at least 2 racing softs + 1 more tire.

No, you must have already had them, surely?

Cars that don't have the tyres you need won't be selectable, and if your car is selectable you'll only be able to choose the tyres that you own.

Unless... does it work if you already IN the car and you have no tyres for it that are within the limit?
 
I got sports medium tires from this on a few cars too!!! They already had soft, but Nothing lower. Also got some comfort medium tires for my range stormer, with medium as the limit, but I had already bought comfort hard.
 
Really not that useful, then... Considering the most expensive tires you can get that way only cost 8000 credits. Which you can make in GT5 just by breathing hard.

Nope the tires were comfort hards.. the NSX handled like it was on ice skates i would have to have been on drugs to have bought these before.. im gonna try getting one of my standard model supercars sports softs this way

When you have a garage the size of mine, 413 cars... 8000 credits can add up... QUICK
 
So if you set the room to Racing Medium, everyone will get free Medium tyres if they only have Racing soft tyres.

Thats what i noticed.. ill try it later.. it will only work for the one car you have though.. and then you can back out of the room entirely and switch in more cars

Yes, it's long confirmed, though I never bothered to see if you keep the tires after exiting online.

that NSX i was using is my primary drift/fun car, so im always tweaking it depending on what i want it to do on or offline, which is why i saw the tires haha

No you don´t get the mediums because don´t have only softs ;)

Okay, if you car is originally fitted with racing hards, and you enter a race with a sport soft tyre limit, you should get sport softs.
 
Seriously, why dont you do the rubber band trick instead, instant millions on hours. You dont even have to use the x1, only a corvette is good enoug, last place gives you a little bit cash. For example, auto grind a coupple of hours per day for one week and you have like 4-15 milion credits.

ehh why pay if you dont have to? lol i got a 413 car garage.. and ive been falling behind with my standard model cars in terms of equipping them with proper tires.. so id rather go the cheaper route and get the same satisfaction

because it takes to much time, you can autogrind and meanwhile you can studdy etc, the key is to work effective, not harder.

400 x 36000 = 14400000 credits. That isnt to much considering how much the tuning costs for the cars. The question is also, why uppgrade the cars you dont use? Why make layers of cars? Better to buy the cars that you want/need, and if you cant find them in ucd, use the trading forum dawg.

not 413, alot of them already have their tires purchased, this trick would only be for the small batch that i just dont feel like getting to
