Freeze loading a race then restart then corrupt file system

This is the things that one says "this never gonna happen to me", but yes, it happen.

Like the tittle says, loading Indy race for 99 time to gain cash, the bar stuck on 100 %, i restart the PS3 and then the bad mesage, red screen, "the file system is corrupt, do you want a restore?", i choose "yes", the progress bar stuck on 7% for a half minute then progress to 100, restar the PS3, apears the logo then!! the same mesage, again and again, the solution? start on recovery mode and format.

Loose BEAUTIFUL cars, LEVEL 23 almost 24, b-spec in 16 and 1 million cr.

**** stupid game save protection, protecion from what??!!

My PS3 is the 80 fat, always work damn good, anyway, i have no problem for restart.

Backup your data ASAP.:nervous:
 
It'll be little consolation to know that you're not the only one. It seems to me that after a good few years of use the HDD of 'fat' PS3's is starting to fail, mine went the other day and many others have too.

Shame we can't backup the save data yet.

On a lighter note, after getting over the initial shock of losing all those saves, I now have a 500gb PS3 and having learnt from my mistakes am whizzing through the lower level races again and not upgrading cars that turn out to be useless.
 
hey sorry to hear man i have a fattie aswell i saving atm for when it happens or i see a good deal for one.I was just wondering if i brought a new ps3 would i lose all my stuff?

Theres is a way to backup the entire disk (think i should made it before) but i dont know how do it, i just format but the strange thing is i have already all the PS3 updates and when connect to PSN i recovery my throphys...meh.
 
This exact thing just happened to me :grumpy:
Was A-Spec level 33, B-spec 24.
Had a backup from about level 28,12
Lost about 200 cars though 👎 feel you're pain...
