Freezing after Extended Ending Movie is Unlocked

Hello everyone,

I am a huge GT fan and have had every game. I have had GT5 since it came out and generally never had any issues. I recently started over and just beat the Dream Car championship last night. Directly afterwards I a pop-up notification informed me that I had unlocked the extended version of the ending movie, I hit "ok", a loading icon appeared and the bgm stopped and I was frozen. I quit the game and the ps3 crashed. Now this happens every time I enter the gt mode menu. I have tried deleting and reinstalling game data and getting rid of my personalized bgm but to no avail. Has anyone had this issue and more importantly can anyone direct me around it so I don't lose my progress but can get racing again?

Short of what you have already tried, the only thing I can think to try, is make a backup of your savedata (save to a portable disc, memory stick etc) then remove your savedata, start a new game, see if its loading up ok into GT mode, then replace your old gamesave and load that one up.
