Freezing of GT5 after the 1.05 update!

My PS3 freezes after this update "before the opening clip" of the game.
Please share us with your best experiences in this.
This making me crazy!!

Happened to me a lot yesterday, someone in the forum told me to turn off the BGM music, of the menus. So yesterday i turned it off, and my PS3 was off for 1 day. Today i already played it and it works again fine. I was scared, and im still scared a bit but, i know the reaction of my PS3 and of the games, so im just more carefull if it now.

Sorry about you freezing problems, but i haven't had any yet! Knock on wood!! Hope you find the problem.

How to turn that off??

I cant begin the game to turn anything off. It freezes before the opening clip...

Did you try to disable your network? Maybe it's a server connection issue.

I do notice longer loading times when starting GT5.

And rebooted the PS3 many times, no changes happened...

Mine freezes while loading at various points, but never during play. I have been playing gt5 in long sessions due to all the snow which I'm fed up of and the Christmas holidays, which might affect the likelihood of freezing. I just quit the game, eject the disc, pop it back in, and no more freezes

That fixed my problem. It kept freezing at the main menu screen. I deleted my game data and then re-tired but still broke. Disconnected and it all worked again. It wonder what is going on.

Gotta wait 60 hours now to install the data again. Grrr...

Well.. my game hadn't freezed on me for two weeks... until today. I was doing the Cape Ring time trial and the game froze twice, the second time right as I was spinning my setup DFGT wheel. Fortunately (and oddly) my PS3 didn't freeze so I was able to quit the game from the XMB, but I lost some data.

I've froze up 2-3 times yesterday. Exiting online event, trying to view end of game extended footage. Something doesn't seem quite right.

It's not actually 'frozen' per se, it's just stuck trying to connect. You can hit the PS button and press triangle on "account management", then choose "Sign out of PSN". Once that's done, you'll have full control again.

I cannot play online or while connected to the PSN, it's very annoying.

I'm getting this freezing due to connection also. Even if I'm already at the GT Life screen, if I connect the arrow becomes frozen and won't allow me to do anything at all until I disconnect. Very frustrating, I actually want to purchase something from the online dealer to use for a race now that I have some extra Cr.

I should have bought it when I had the chance earlier...

Anyone found a fix yet?

I've tried everything, I can't even view the ToS under options. If I try and sign into the PSN while playing, it will hang as it tired to connect to the server. If I try and start it while logged in, it hangs on the GT logo and then the main menu.

Can't get to any of the online features at all.

I reconfigured my network settings and I haven't had any problems yet.

After the update, I had a freeze in B-Spec "Like The Wind" Indianapolis Speedway when it finished the race. Controls and visual were frozen but there was audio of cars passing by. It felt like the game was trying to load something but something went wrong somewhere.

I had to force restart my system. 💡
