Friends Online status

A question about when the yellow thing appears next to the coffee cup of someone online. Lets say my friend Joe is online, and he is in his friends lounge Mike. If Mike is not on my friends list does the yellow thing show next to my friend Joe while he is in Mike's lounge?
My guess is yellow won't appear but not sure.
 
Yes, it will. As long as a friend is in a lobby, it will show up for you.

Hmmm, pretty sure I've seen it show up. I'll have to try it out next time I have a chance.(unless someone can do it sooner?)
 
I dont remember ever seeing a friend in a lounge of someone not on my list. But its hard to test as many of my friends are friends with other people on my friends list, and usually in one of my friends lounges.
 
Another way to tell is if you were in your lounge and someone came in who was not on your friends list. That would mean they followed someone else in who is on your list.

Was it an online lobby or lounge?
 
It doesn't work, you have to have the other guy "Mike" added to your friends list - and only if he's the host of a lounge otherwise you have to add the host. The only way you can see "Mikes" lounge is if it's a open lobby, NOT private lounge.

I've had to add all kinds of people I don't know just to get into certain private lounges.
 
Was pretty sure it worked. :confused: I guess it's been awhile.
 
Only for lobbies, not private lounges.
 
Thanks that is what I though was the case, but I figured someone would know for sure.
