Friends room...strange things happening

Last night, right after the big update, I went to set up a Friends Room. All previous room settings disappeared. Then I was disconnected from the server three times...finally got a new room set up. When others joined and we started racing, all of the cars from a previous race appeared on the track for the new race but the car list for each individual screen showed the correct car ? It was funny seeing a 650pp MM-R cup car flying around Tokyo when it should have been an HS-V. The replays did show the correct car.
Should have left well enough alone.
 
Had the same problem.
My saved race settings were deleted. Last night in an effort to 'hurry up' I missed turning off the Boost setting. It was on weak by default. However during the race it felt like 'strong.' After the race I recreated and saved five race settings. Turned the game off and when I returned all but one was saved. The one that was saved had reset itself back to a public room.

Maybe there's a manual save button for our problem. Hopefully it can be fixed, I LIKE ability to save five.

Lets see if anyone has found an answer to our problem.

Ok, a quick update.
I recreated five race settings. Saved them. Went back to the Main menu/My Home. Manually saved. Exit the game. Restarted the game. The race settings are still there.

Now I'm turning the PS3 back on. We'll see.

Ok it works using the MANUAL save button. The only thing that won't save is your room's privacy setting(s).
It will default back to public.

Maybe a patch or a work around will help us.

For now I can deal with it. I just need to review the race settings before creating the room.

Yeah I have been having problems in my rooms with cars not showing up correctly. Seems every time they do an update they mess up more than they correct...Last time it was sound, now this :(
 
Went back in this am and checked to see if my settings were still there...nope, not a one. I always do a manual save prior to exiting. I set up the room again, saved settings and exited then did a manual save. I'll check again this afternoon.
The really odd thing is seeing all of the cars from the previous race appearing on screen but showing up correctly on the vehicle list but with the correct pp ??
 
Ok after a few hours of PS3 off time. My saved raced...are saved.
So manually save your Gran Turismo 6 progress and you should be fine.

Just double check everything before creating the room. It seems my first saved race always loads as a public room. After changing it the others load as a friends only room.


"Title of the Year" This thread will get bumped by another....please. Somebody bumped it with something else.
