Alright just what the title says, do you guys think this would be a good upgrade as in Force Feedback wise? I have a friend who really wants a Fanatec wheel, as he was about to buy the GT3 RS V2 for $180, but without knowing until reading the description that there aren't pedals or shifters included, he decided not to buy it. So what I am thinking is selling my Fanatec 911 Carrera wheel to him for a cheap price ($30-50?) as he'll buy the CSR pedals and standard Fanatec shifters for himself, so he can save some greens. While I upgrade to the 911 GT3 RS V2.

But I'll get straight to the point right now. Does the GT3 really emits better FF than the carrera wheel? I am asking this since it is Belt driven other than gear driven am I correct? The alcantara wheel rim is a nice touch but the FF is whats bothering me.

Not sure if better is the right word. Certainly smoother. I did about the same as you, carrerra to gt2. The gt series just feels smoother lock to lock with a much nicer feel all around. So, with that being said,maybe better is the right term.

Make the jump, you will be glad you did.

Or he can get the GT3RS CSR package that comes out December 2nd. $280 for the wheel, csr pedals, and csr shifter set. I'm between that or grabbing a G27 tomorrow since ithe clamps on my dfp snapped last night and its currently clamped down using vice-grips which my legs aren't exactly a fan of.

I tried to convince him that that is a bargain but still isnt considering of buying it. So I guess Im going to sell him my Carrera wheel and get my self a GT3 RS 👍

Hmm, yeah I guess I should've just used better terminology. But anyways glad to hear your opinion. GT2 seems to have the same hardware as the GT3 RS V2, just not the X360 compatability.

Exactly right with the 2/3rs comparison. Only difference being xbox compat.

Glad i could help.

I haven't used the Carrera wheel, but I can give a big thumbs up to the GT3RS.

However I think the biggest upgrade I made when I got my GT3RS was getting the CSP with it. The difference in feel between the CSP and standard plastic pedals is at least as big as the difference between a decent geared wheel and the GT3RS.

So if you are looking to upgrade only one thing my opinion would be to upgrade the pedals first.

Once again thanks for the help, just ordered my GT3 wheel and hopefully I get it soon :drool:

@FastM3
With my current pedals right now, the G27 pedals, I am fine with them.
