I recently noticed that it had been changed from Location to From. At first I like it, but after thinking about it I wish it was changed back.

The reason is that if someone was to ask where was I 'From' I would say North Georgia. But if I was asked where did I 'live', or what was my 'Location' I would say Topsfield, Maine.

Do y'all see what I mean by this?

The way I see it is that folk were using the "Location" field to put in "in my car" or "at my computer" etc., and those answers were technically correct whilst not being in the spirit of the answer that is expected.

From is indicating that the answer should be a village/town/city/county/region/country.

Most likely, you would only answer that you were "from" North Georgia if the person who asked you already knew that you "lived" in Topsfield, Maine. If you went on vacation to California, and the waiter in a restaurant asked you where you were "from", would you really say North Georgia? Probably not. The title of the field was changed to discourage silly entries, because they won't make as much sense with this preposition. "From" is also shorter, which looks better in GTP9, where the entry and field title are both displayed on the same line.

I was happier with the location, but that's not a problem. What IS a problem is the short field. I can't fit "Yorke Peninsula, South Australia" in the 25-character field anymore. :( And that's not awfully long.

My racecar theme is kind of pointless now too. Before the name just meant a place, and that place is the only location where you can tow my car, now with from it makes no sense. Oh well. Now it's nice and clean.

Then you would write "Llanfairpwyllgwyngyll" or "Llanfair PG", like all people from there do.
