Greetings One And All,
Forgive me if the following challenge has been offered before.
From the dark recesses of my twisted mind I have come up with a short series that not only scores points for speed, but for creativity. To wit:
A three race series(initially, if other races are requested it may expand) on three seperate surfaces, dirt, snow, dirt and tarmac.It is to be contested in GT mode, using vehicles from your own garages. The idea is to select the most ridiculously powered vehicle 400-800 hp, equip them with appropriate tires, and try to set the fastest times for in Dirt And Snow mode. I chose this mode to avoid the dreaded 5 second mistep penalty. Points will be awarded for car selection, hp, and et. All courses will be raced in normal mode and in reverse, with scoring being based on cumulative totals for 2 laps in both directions.
This series awards your creativity. For instance; a 651 hp Corvette C5 equipped with snow tires at the Ice Arena or Chamois, or an SS 396 Chevelle with over 700hp. Get the idea?
There are, of course, some caveats. No wall surfing. No purpose built vehicles, ie; Escudo, Evo, or WRX Sti. No concept vehicles. No AWD or 4x4. No LM cars. I will tell you that FR cars will be judged more favorably than FF I want you to search the grey matter, create something akin to a 750 hp hockey puck!
There are twelve slots available, the first 6 are reserved, if they so choose, for participants in my Rally Round The Ring series. If they opt out, those slots are open. Strict adhearance to getting times in on time is important, so that we may finish each race. I will serve only as steward and judge, and my decisions, while possibly questionable, are final.
I have found some truly wild rides in my garage, that can be equipped with snow and dirt tires that exceed 790 hp.
