I have an old Canon AE-1 SLR that runs on 3V batteries made for cameras. Due to a design flaw, the camera ceases to function without power, so demonstrations are impossible, sadly. Everything works, though: Shutter speeds work all from 2s to 1/1000, 50mm lens with f1.8-f22 and aperture preview, and working film reel and light meter. All you need is the battery and some film:sly:

Bizarrely, I have one of these - bought by my dad the month after I was born - in full working order.

This is no help to you whatsoever, but it was an amusing coincidence.
 
I've been shooting with one over the last months and I can tell the buyer it's a good analogue camera.

Also if the future buyer wants to know the exact battery that goes in, shot me a PM. It's 3 bucks on Amazon, Payed 15 at the photography shop (and then they wonder they are on the brink of extinction)

I don't know...everything is slightly harder with Canon, compared to my Nikon FG that I'm using; The canon doesn't have a self timer, nor an ability to keep shutter open for more than 2 seconds. Also the light meter is confusing:crazy:
 
^I can't compare it as it's the only one I use from that time frame. Though my brother bought 100 vintage cameras for 20 bucks, but I am too lazy to get any of that to work.
