Have toyota sponsored D1..... just watched Rd 4 and ken nomura is now driving a 2jz GT86..... So thats hibino orido and taniguchi the real drift king and now ken all in boring toys:tdown:
personally i would of loved to see ken drive a R35:grumpy:
 
IIRC the R35 became wayyyyy over budget. The builder of the R35, Abe-san of BLITZ, actually sold the car. The owner of Bensopra, the person who designed that ridiculous $50k body kit for the R35, is the new owner and is using it as their demo car ;D

I'm not surprised by the attraction of drivers towards the new GT86. Its an awesome marketing move. A new FR capable of drifting great and is not that expensive. Why not? lol

I think it's great to see people using a modern, lower budget FR car for drifting 👍 We can only hope that good sales of the new 86/BRZ platform motivates Nissan to get their poop in group and build a new Silvia. Think I saw something about that on the Burst team thread a while back?
 
Ive been watching Ken since his 180sx Days and he looks uneasy in that 86.

Takahashi 900bhp vs Ken 1000r35 would of been the Shi..........:-)

The only d1 driver that has flare and looks good in the GT86 is hibino... If it were 10 years ago taniguchi would of kicked his 86 and walked off track.... Real talk haha
