While driving my Cr-Z TC I noticed that there was a battery and a pointer on top of the fuel bar I'm not quite sure what it is but I think it's got something to do with being a hybrid. I'm not really sure what it is can someone clear it up? and are there any more cars with this battery and pointer thing?

The CR-Z has a feature called "Regenerative Braking" which as the name suggests allows the CR-Z to regain energy under braking, the arrow is indicating that your battery is recharging (Or being used, depending on the direction).

The Leaf and the Prius also have this system.

What happens when the battery runs out though?
Audi R18s have these too right? and thank you for answering.

I'm not particularly well educated on all things Le Mans - however I believe that is correct - F1 cars also run this technology, knowns as "KERS".

The system basically works by taking the energy of momentum and stores it in a flywheel or battery, allowing for it to be used later.
It's an incredibly efficient system as when you brake with a 'conventional' system the kinetic energy is simply turned into heat - this way the energy isn't dissipated and is instead re-used.

When the Battery runs out the car will resort to fuel power - if it's a full EV then it will simply behave like any Petroleum or Diesel powered vehicle (in the game) and will run at a capped speed
