So, the real and ultimate driving simulator......should it have a fuel gauge? Would it make endurances more interesting? Or more annoying? Would it be fun the notice the difference in acceleration and handling as the load of gas in your tank diminishes? Or would it just be cool to have an extra gauge in there?

I'd say we should have to the option to turn fuel on and off. It'd be nice to race and see how both feel.

Whats with new members ignoring the sticky threads with read this next to them and look her before you ask?

Wow, this has never been discussed before... :dunce:

Looks like you're shooting yourself in the foot here, TurboLevin. You're being dissed on like, several times. Take it easy there, buddy. Kind of look for past threads that may be close to what you're looking for. And don't worry. I know what it's like to not be on for at least 6 months (I kind of consider at least 3 or 6 months as being out of "rookie" status). One site, I seen Hell in its purest form against me. Prompting me to leave and be disrespected like a pile of dog crap.

In other words, welcome to the 'Planet, Turbo. Kind of do a search. And not to be mean, that's why GT4 has a prompt asking you to do a search before you feel that such a point has already been mentioned.

is this thread about the fuel gage itself ,or the incorporation of gas comsumption as a whole
(BE more specific or less seeing as if you were to be more specific the thread would of been about the fuel gage needle

SEARCH!! ...Welcome

Personaly, I didn't think his questions were that bad. Sure, the subject has come up once or twice before, but his questions could have started a legitimate discussion of the topic.

The idea of being able to turn off fuel gauge feature is interesting. Perhaps the feature can only turned off with the start of a new game, or for individual races. But, I see some potential problems. How are we to compare our racing achievements with each other if the posibility to turn it off or on exists? Do we add a seperate list of achievements for fuel on, or off? Having it turned off should make the game easier to play opposed to having it turned on.

If there is a fuel gauge and feature added to GT4, and the option to turn it off exist, I will leave it on. It would add to the realization of the game.

That is interesting indeed. I would also leave it on though. Although with GT3, you couldn't turn tire wear on or off, so i believe that if GT4 has fuel consumption, it probably won't be able to be turned off.

Although it will probably lead u into it as GT3 did with the tire wear. For all of the beginners league, there was no tire wear at all. And i think about half way through the Amateur league, tire wear started coming up with 5 lap races and stuff. But this is a whole new game, so maybe the option for turning both on and off could be included, but i won't use that option, i'll have them both on.

This could also play into racing strategies if you have the stuff on.

i still think that if this had been addressed in the earlier thread then those who are new to the thread would have the benefit of seeing stuff that has already been opined. if this thread keeps going, eventually its gonna rehash the same stuff.
