Fuel ran out. Any solution?

For the first time i experienced fuel running low and i therefore slowed down and couldn't compete. Track is World Touring Car 700 as follows;

I recommend using the multi-functional display at the bottom right of the race HUD and go to the fuel mix option. Adjust the fuel to a leaner mix. You will lose more and more power the leaner you go, so keep that in mind.

Lifting and coasting before corners (getting off the gas a moment before braking for a corner) also works for saving fuel. If you are using a manual transmission, short shifting (shifting gears earlier than normal) works too.

Fuel Mix set to 1 when overtaking/catching up. 3 - 6 for everywhere else. 3 usually gets me through a handful of laps before pitting, but you can set it to 5-6 if your car is more than capable enough (also if it starts raining and your car is a stubborn one) to gain and carry speed.
