I know this was covered a long time ago, but the physics have changed pretty drastically since the last thread about this race, so I thought I'd get people's opinions on it now that people can no longer abuse engine braking.

What's your fastest 700pp road car around this track? For some reason this has become THE race I'm running now that I don't need credits, and it's no longer an issue of winning, I'm interested in hearing what others like to run. Not cars that just crush it, but good fun/challenging cars. I started with the 4wd cars to get the advantage off the line, now pretty much any 4wd (aside from the engine swap Delta Integrale... the new down-shift change really makes you dial in the transmission for each course, so I'm struggling to break 1:44 laps lol) is a breeze.

Oh, and just to confirm I'm not missing it, there's not another 5 pepper road car race, correct? Or hell, just a similarly challenging race where the AI actually tries? I've ran the one at Monza and it's like the lead car just gives up after overtaking it, so 8-10sec wins are common. Really wish we could just select Sophy for these races... (and I'm too lazy to setup my own). Thx for any suggestions.

You are correct, Fuji is the only 5 pepper directory race. A similar "pepper" race is the Watkins Glen 600 at 4 peppers, one of my favorite non grind races. Fun/challenging cars for Fuji, Group 3's, they can win but not easily. Fun but less challenging, Group B's. Want to stomp that swapped Skyline, Group C's, want to go under 8 minutes? Use the original and still most OP at 700pp Suzuki Escudo.
