Fuji Enduro (1000km) glitch

A strange thing happened when I drove the fuji 1000km. On fourth place there was a Nissan R89CP. At some point, for no apparent reason, the R89CP started to drive really slow on the straight part of the course. AI cars kept running into it.
The rest of the track it ran at normal speeds. It was almost like the pit speed limiter was in effect on the straight, for that car. It did this for a couple of laps and then, just as sudden as it started (no pit stop or anything), it stopped and the car was driving normally again.
Did anyone else notice a thing like this?
 
It sounds similar to post #7 on this thread but I'm not sure about it. I have never run into problems like that.

yeah it does sound a bit alike. One difference though is that the car was not near the pits (it was on the other side of the road) while driving so slow. It was actually following the 'normal' driving line of all other cars and was not stuck, it just drove very very very slowly. The two problems might well be connected though...
 
Hmm, quite odd. I've never seen it happen. Maybe he had a temporary aneurysm?

I had a somewhat similar glitch at the Suzuka endurance race. I was in the Denso Sard Supra. When about 2/3 of the race was done, the car suddenly took control over the steering, and only turned left! I could shift as normal, and the throttle was still mine to use. I figured I had to pit to get this sorted, and boy, I had to struggle to get into the pits! But that didn´t help, so I unplugged my DFP, and tried the Ds2, but it was the same. I plugged the DFP back in, and still the same! I had to restart the race all over eventually.
 
I thought about running out of gas too, but he said that the problem was cured suddenly without a pitstop, so I guess that's a no..

And the car only had this problem on the straight. The rest of the track it drove at normal speeds....
 
Maybe all it was was a slight error in the AI (which are notorious for being common in Enduros)...:confused:
 
It's not a track specific glitch, but it may be a car-specific one, because the R89 has done it to me at the 'Ring once in an arcade race.
 
Yeah that is odd. I often get AI cars drivind against the pit wall after missing the entrance, but nothing like that.

I found the topic I started about it. I must say, what happened to me when compared to you is rather similar. Maybe it is a car glitch.

Indeed it sounds like something similar. It might be a car thing then. I wonder if could happen to 'B-spec Bob' in a R89C too :scared:

This doesn't explain the increase in speed over the rest of the track, though. This would drive you into the pits and after the pitstop the speed will be ok again.
